About this property

… in the centre of Boscastle, about 700 yards up from the harbour (steep hill), a semi-detached cottage dating from around the 16th cent. In front, parking for one small car and, at the back, a few steps up to neat secluded lawn and shrub garden (table/chairs) with pretty views over the village.

Inside, completely overhauled and made very comfortable and smart. Stable doors (5’7" lintel) into living/dining room (the original part of the cottage) with beams, slate floor, TV/DVD and woodburner; 2 steps up to fitted kitchen (slimline dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, fridge-freezer) with tiled floor; downstairs, twin bedroom, bathroom (bath with shower over, washbasin) and separate loo. Back door to garden. Stairs (stairgate, rope rail) from living room directly up into attractive double attic bedroom (5’ bed) with low sloping ceiling. Nearest of the three village pubs is 100 yards. A brilliant spot for walkers.

"We have just returned home from staying in this very quaint cottage. It had every thing we needed & we especially liked the underfloor heating (so did our 12 year old retriever) it wasvery cosy. The walk down into Boscastle is a pleasant walk but beware it's a long trek back up the hill. The only grumble I would have would be the parking outside, it is a very small space on a very narrow street with a school just down the road so the school run was abit of a nightmare with most parents wanting to park outside & we struggled with our Audi A6 car. So we parked up the top of the road for most of the week. But apart from that we had a excellent week at Hill Cottage."
