Burncoose House is a beautiful and peaceful retreat. The grandeur is evident as you approach along the magnolia and rhododendron-lined driveway. This stunning Jacobean and Georgian residence, which is set in 38 acres of delightful, mature gardens, is a wonderfully secluded house which has been completely renovated to become a truly luxurious sanctuary, perfect for a family get together, celebration holiday, a fun get away with friends or even a business team away stay.

In a great mid Cornwall location, just a 20 minute drive from both the surfing beaches on the north coast and the calmer beaches around the Falmouth area and on the doorstep of the world-renowned sailing waters of The Fal Estuary. 

Burncoose House is available for one-off special occasions to fully-catered breaks or outside catering services that can be arranged. Watersports and other outdoor pursuits and activities can be arranged. Exterior

The house is approached via a sweeping driveway with parking set to the side of the house for uninterrupted views over a huge lawn across the valley. A spacious front terrace adjacent to the conservatory provides the perfect place for an evening aperitif and the private courtyard to the rear, with the luxurious hot tub, is a perfect place to relax.

Entrance Hall

An impressive entrance welcomes you as you enter Burncoose House with various reception rooms leading off and an impressive double-height sweeping staircase rising to the first floor accommodation.

Living Room

This spacious and elegantly decorated room benefits from tall sash windows which let the light flood in and overlooks the gardens. Comfy sofas, a 55" TV and an open fire makes this a cosy space to relax with family and friends.

Dining Room

Accessed from either the hallway or the kitchen, this impressive and stylish dining room can comfortably seat up to 16 people at its magnificent mahogany table. Full length sash windows overlook the sweeping lawns to the front of the house and an open fireplace sets the scene for long and languished dinners to be enjoyed.

Library

This dual-aspect comfortable room also benefits from an open fireplace and 55" TV, as well as having the facility use a large projector/cinema screen if required. This room is perfect as a second den for the children to watch films, a cosy reading room and even ideal if you're looking for a holiday home with conferencing facilities.

Kitchen/Breakfast Room

An impressive kitchen/breakfast room which is as functional as it is sociable. This beautiful room will easily accommodate a busy breakfast time, cooking supper whilst enjoying a glass of wine with friends, and will also stand up to the cooking of a full dinner party. Benefiting from Corian worktops and fitted with quality appliances such as a Falcon range cooker with ceramic hob and double oven, Neff American-style fridge/freezer and convection oven/microwave, this kitchen is also robust enough to take formal catering if required. Off the kitchen there is a large store room with fridge/freezer and chest freezer, ideal for food preparation and storage when using outside caterers. There is a handy separate utility room near the kitchen with a washing machine, tumble dryer and sink.

Downstairs Cloakroom Facilities

There is a pretty WC just off the entrance hallway as well as another handy WC near the rear courtyard.

Off the rear hallway you can access the courtyard which benefits from the real luxury of a large hot tub.

Bedroom 1 - Master

Overlooking the lawn, this south-facing dual-aspect room is light, airy and very spacious with wing back chairs, a luxurious super king bed and 42" TV. Leading from the bedroom is a dual-aspect en suite bathroom with double shower and separate bath. There is also a lockable interconnecting door which has access to the adjacent twin bedroom. This is an ideal layout for families with young children.

Bedroom 2 - Twin Bedroom

A pretty twin bedroom overlooking the gardens to the west of the house with its own en suite bathroom. This bedroom can be accessed from the landing or via the interconnecting door from the master suite.

Bedroom 3 - Second Master

Another light and spacious bedroom with beautiful tall sash windows overlooking the front lawn. There is a super king bed, large sofa, 40" TV and built in wardrobes. An en suite bathroom leads on from here with double shower and separate bath. 

Bedroom 4

A cosy bedroom decorated in yellow and grey with super king bed and 32" TV which overlooks the gardens to the east of the of the house. The en suite bathroom has a double shower and separate bath.

Bedroom 5

Another pretty room in shades of blue with a king sized bed which overlooks the gardens to the west of the property. The en suite bathroom has a double shower and separate bath. The bedroom sits to the rear of the property, with separate staircase leading downstairs near the kitchen and utility area.

Bedroom 6

A twin bedroom overlooking the rear of the property. The bathroom for this bedroom is adjacent and has a double shower and separate bath.

Bedroom 7/Annex

A self-contained annex area which can either be open and used as part of the main house or locked and ideal for staff such as au pair, nanny or live-in caterer. This accommodation is decorated to the same high standard as the rest of the property and comprises of a light and spacious dual-aspect bedroom overlooking the west and rear of the property with king size bed and 40" TV. There is a bathroom with double shower, and a kitchen with ceramic hob and double oven.

Changeover day: Friday - arrival 4:00pm - departure 10:00am

Short Breaks Available: Friday - Monday or Monday - Friday at 70% of the full week's price

Pets Welcome: Maximum 2 dogs

Additional items included:  Robes for master bedroom guests. Free access to Burncoose Nursery.

Power and Heat: All utilities included
