North Helford and Falmouth are perhaps the quintessential Cornish visitor destinations; a mix of beach, creek and woodland serve some of our most interesting and historic villages and towns. Soak up Falmouth's nautical vibe with a visit to the National Maritime Museum, amble along its narrow streets lined with shops, galleries, pubs, restaurants or hop on a boat trip across the River Fal, up the river towards Truro or on the Helford River to its sub-tropical gardens. Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbour-side pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry viii, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes). For nature lovers there is the Swanpool Nature Reserve, a lagoon and sssi teeming with a variety of wildlife. Location was ideal as our son lives in Penryn. The cottage was amazing. Spotlessly clean and really comfortable. The milk, tea, coffee and biscuits were a nice added extra. We slept really well in the comfortable beds and lounge furniture was really comfy too. Love the facilties on site and grounds are maintained to a really high standard. We will definately be back.

We went with two small children and the facilities were perfect.

Very clean and spacious and up to date with the maintenance of the cottage as nothing was outdated about the property. Really well furnished down to the finer details which included plenty of boardgames for families, a pint of milk was waiting in the fridge along with tea/coffee and biscuits! We were visiting family in Cornwall and would definitely book back here again.
