So, whether you’re happiest unwinding in the living space with a DVD or you fancy stepping outside to enjoy a glass of something bubbly in the fresh air, you’ll be in your element. Thanks to its spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, the living area makes a special spot to enjoy some time out no matter what the season.
Speaking of special places to unwind, the lodge’s private hot tub welcomes the weary in style, and we can’t think of anywhere better for some time out as the sun sets behind the surrounding countryside. When the hot tub’s done its work and the three bedrooms beckon, you’ll find stylish decors in each one that make them welcoming space to retreat after a busy day.
Just three miles west of Liskeard and twelve miles away from the idyllic fishing resorts of Looe and Polperro, Southern Halt is a peaceful resort that offers the best of both worlds. When you’re content to stay close to home and forget the world you’ll have peace and quiet and there are plenty of days out within easy reach for those times when you feel like an adventure.
Please note that this lodge is based on a site that is couple and family orientated. Due to this, the site will require ages for all guests.

...The Highwayman Pub which is approx 20 min walk away has very basic food (a bit like a Wetherspoons menu) which is ok but not exactly a nice meal out. Highly recommended Tapenades in Liskeard for a great dining experience. Plenty of bars and restaurants in Looe but again a taxi required. Submitted by Nicola on 27/08/2017

...travelling by car to the south Cornwall coastal towns of Looe, Fowey and Polperro. It is also handy for visiting the Eden Project (nr St Austell). The local train station at Lizkeard provides a service to Looe and other cornish tourist attractions further afield (eg St Ives and Penzance) at a modest cost. There is a Spar shop in the local village (Dobwalls) only 5 mins away, with Morrisons and Aldi at Lizkeard (10 mins away). Submitted by Steve on 20/08/2017

...fantastic place to stay. The lodge is in a great central location to explore Cornwall and is situated in lovely rolling countryside with views for miles! The interior of the lodge is light and airy and very well thought out. The kitchen is well equipped (but could do with a bread knife and a knife sharpener!). The hot tub is a great way to relax in the evening after exploring the Cornish countryside and it is really nice that it is serviced every day to make sure that it is operating correctly. We were very happy with everything that both Blue Chip and Southern Halt offers. Submitted by Neil on 18/09/2016
