a lovely last minute 1/2 term break at Clowance in a St Ives 3 Bed Lodge (Lodge 31) The estate is perfectly located for visiting Southern Cornwall sights and the lodge was splendid. Spotlessly clean on arrival with master and twin downstairs and twin on a mezzanine upstairs. Nice and cozy lodge, not sure if the hot tub was ever cleaned or inspected mind as by the thursday (we went in once per day) it was absolutely filthy!! And we have one at home so know the rules to keep it clean. Lodge has everything you need for cooking if so desired, our only gripe was the pillows. JUST AWFUL! one was too low, two too high and the sheets and pillowslips are made from the Noisiest cotton ever! Otherwise all was well. The main pool was quite murky and packed on the Monday night so we never used that again, did try food once in the restaurant- not the best tbh! Wouldnt recommend, wish Id booked The Aubrey in Prez town. The facilities like tennis, chess, golf were okay for an hour, not the best but a bit of fun for the children. Grounds are lovely. Lodge 31 was well secluded even though you could see people around, hot tub didnt really feel overlooked per say.

CLEANNG IS VERY POOR UNABLE TO GET INTO LODGE UNTIL 5PM BECAUSE OF EXTRA CLEANING BEING DONE DUE TO COVID19,THE DAY WE LEFT WE SEE THE CLEANING STAFF IN A LODGE JUST STANDING OUTSIDE SMOKING AND TALKING NOT MUCH EXTRA CLEANING GOING ON THERE.

Not a place I would visit again. Very disappointing. No segways as advertised and not told before hand that these would not be available to hire.Wheelchair access non existant. Told 3 times before arrival of our wheelchair access.. 5 steps into the lodge.. wheelchair wouldn't push on the ground.Beds are solid as a rock we left our holiday night early as I couldn't bare the to sleep in it no more.. advertised as 3 bedroom 2 double beds and a single, not the case 1 double and 2 singles, we were told this couldn't be changed.Hot tub was amazing cleaners came everyday to sort it, Swimming pool was 30 mins sessions but didn't make sense when the pool was empty most days and still told to get out.No entertainment as advertised on booking apart from a singer one night, Food wasn't that great and very expensive. No specials or different options for different nights. Would of expected higher standards for the price. The lake needs dredging almost impossible to rowWill not be staying again.
