About this property

… ½ mile from Constantine in the sleepy, leafy little hamlet of Brill, a big detached house in 6 acres of garden (table/chairs) with lawns, stream and steel-mesh covered well (small children beware). Adjacent to a rough meadow and boggy jungle-like wood with little streams (wellies necessary to negotiate).

Two steps up to front door into large hall with cloakroom (loo, plenty of room for coats/boots). All old pine floors downstairs. Step down to living room with woodburner, TV/DVD and French windows to garden. Fitted kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, freezer, larder fridge) with glazed double doors to roomy conservatory with cane chairs and totally private garden views. Ground-floor bedroom with two singles (one a 5'10" long truckle bed). From hall, stairs up to two more bedrooms – a double (5’ bed) with en suite shower-room (suite), and another double with en suite bathroom (suite with second door to landing). Best for maximum of 5 adults. A wonderfully private spot with pleasant lane walk to pub and shop (but remember torch!).

"A very comfortable house, especially as we have dogs. This was our second visit and we are already thinking about rebooking for next year. The house is very well maintained and spacious and has a lovely garden."

  • Mrs Spurway

"Generously proportioned cottage with plenty of space to spread out and relax. Large conservatory was a boon on wet days."

  • Mr & Mrs G Brennan

"If it hadn't been that I am convalescent, and couldn't face packing up and moving again, we would immediately have asked to be rehoused. By the end of the week, when the smell had not lessened at all, I wish we had."
