Heritage Site woodland, a totally private, secluded little detached single-storey house surrounded by a woodland garden (table/chairs, barbecue, 3 steps) - a fantastic spot for complete calm and oneness with the natural environment. The distinctive call of the elusive nightjar can be heard here, and don’t be surprised by deer walking through the garden. Once a drying house for miners’ working clothes, now an immaculate cosy cottage.
From the garden, 3 shallow steps to door into living/dining/fitted kitchen (washer-drier, microwave) with inglenook (woodburner - logs included), TV/DVD and high ceiling beams, through to roomy double bedroom (6’ zip-linked bed) with en suite shower-room (suite). Miles of woodland walking on the Tamar Trails from your doorstep (maps provided). No children. A brilliant, romantic, chill-out place.

"We have just returned from a very enjoyable week at Miners Dry, Gulworthy. This is our second stay at this location and everything about it is perfect. It is in a secluded location but the Tamar Trails are just on the doorstep with a variety of trails for walkers (with or without dogs) and cyclists. The accommodation is superb with everything you need and Mrs Steer adds those extra welcoming touches ( scones,jam and clotted cream, milk, eggs etc etc). It is situated just inside Devon but Cornwall is just down the road and this makes Miners Dry ideal for day trips in Devon and to Cornwall. The added bonus is that it is so easy to book via Helpful Holidays and they certainly live up to their name. They are extremely courteous and efficient and make booking so easy.
