Just a short walk from the on site leisure facilities, during the school holidays there is a busy programme of entertainment to suit all ages and interests. Surrounded by such wonderful scenery this area is perfect for exploring on foot or two wheels, with walking and cycling trails on the doorstep. For days out visit the famous naval city of Plymouth or take in the Tamar Valley train from nearby picturesque Calstock. Close by is the Tudor house of Cotehele and for days on the beach Whitesands Bay is a little over a half hour drive. A stay at Tamar Valley is the perfect base for exploring at any times of year

Callington is set in the heart of the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As well as being the home of Ginsters Cornish pasties Callington offers a good selection of restaurants and pubs. Callington is a Cornish market town, rich in mining heritage and overlooked by Kit Hill, the highest point in the area, donated to the people of Cornwall by Prince Charles to celebrate the birth of Prince William. From the top of Kit Hill there are amazing views across south-east Cornwall as far as Plymouth Sound.
