About this property

Valley Lodge 61 is a lodge style holiday home in Tamar Valley Resort, a development of purpose built and privately owned self-catering holiday cottages in Callington. The lodge-style accommodation is perfectly placed to explore both Cornwall and Devon and has some fantastic local attractions close by. This detached lodge sits in a beautiful setting with big country views from the balcony. Perfect for a socialising, the open plan sitting area is light and airy and offers plenty of space, opening onto a balcony for alfresco dining or sun-downer drink. The separate kitchen is contemporary. Located away from the roads and traffic noise, guests will enjoy a good night's sleep in the four ground floor bedrooms. Just a short walk from the on-site leisure facilities including indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, bar, shop and reception. During the school holidays there is a busy program of entertainment including quiz nights and karaoke plus sporting activities (seasonal, subject to availability, extra charges apply) including archery, rock climbing, canoeing and abseiling. Within a short drive is Cotehele, a Tudor house and valley garden estate set above the River Tamar or a little further afield you can visit the glorious sandy beach at Whitsand Bay with dramatic scenery and sheer cliffs. Equally accessible is the magical Dartmoor National Park with undulating moorlands and a myriad of historic sites and monuments - a rambler's dream. Valley Lodge 61 is a real home from home and perfect for families, friends and couples.

Callington is set in the heart of the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As well as being the home of Ginsters Cornish pasties Callington offers a good selection of restaurants and pubs. Callington is a Cornish market town, rich in mining heritage and overlooked by Kit Hill, the highest point in the area, donated to the people of Cornwall by Prince Charles to celebrate the birth of Prince William. From the top of Kit Hill there are amazing views across south-east Cornwall as far as Plymouth Sound.

Very well equipped and spacious. We loved our stay there and are hoping to return. The WiFi is very good and the lodge was lovely and warm.

Everything was as expected and we had no issues. The information received in advance of our stay was very helpful. The property was big enough for our two families to be comfortable during our stay. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and it was lovely to find additional touches here and there such as washing tablets, Torches, light bulbs and mini ladder etc all in case they were needed. We couldnt quite work out how to use the dryer for our clothes, however we used the washing line, pegs and maiden, which we preferred anyway. I would highly recommend this property.
