A spacious social living space is bright and airy with large windows and patio doors leading out to the garden and patio. A central dining area provides a gathering place for family meals, with a super new kitchen equipped with all you could wish for to make your self-catering holiday a total joy.

Two bedrooms on the ground floor a double and twin are both furnished with plenty of storage and have use of the ground floor shower room. On the first floor, there is a triple room furnished with two single beds and a child’s bed, along with a further double bedroom, elegantly decorated in pale cream hues to compliment the wonderful countryside views. A family bathroom completes the interior of this tasteful and attractive holiday home. Outside, enjoy picnics or relax in the sunshine in your own private patio garden. There are two swimming pools on-site, a gym, tennis courts and a children’s play area, so more than enough to keep the family occupied if it’s not quite sunny enough for a day on the beach.

Dartmoor National Park is easily accessible and a walker paradise with footpaths and bridleways crisscrossing undulating moorland and green valleys. The scenic Tamar Valley is well known for its beauty and ideal for exploring on foot. For days out, head to the coast to the seaside village of Looe or the beaches of Whitsand Bay. Within a short drive the National Trust Tudor house and valley gardens of Cotehele, set above the River Tamar or for families enjoy the scenic train journey from Gunnislake to the maritime city of Plymouth where you can enjoy a picnic on The Hoe, stroll through the historic cobbled streets of The Barbican and visit the National Marine Aquarium.

Gunnislake is a rural village situated on the steep wooded banks of the River Tamar. Gunnislake offers pubs and shops, and at one end of the village there's the scenic Tamar Valley Railway, which provides regular services along the river bank to Plymouth. Gunnislake makes a great base with many places of Cornwall and Devon within reach.

    The house was clean and child friendly. It was an excellent base to explore the local area including Dartmoor and the Tamar Valley. The onsite facilities were also fantastic and kept the whole family entertained. The children are very keen to go back!
