About this property

Tamar Valley Resort offers great value accommodation in a scenic haven in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The villa-style accommodation is well placed for guests looking to explore both Cornwall and Devon and has some fantastic local attractions nearby. Within a short drive is the National Trust property, Cotehele, a Tudor house and valley garden estate set above the River Tamar. A little further afield you can visit the glorious sandy beach at Whitsand Bay with dramatic scenery and sheer cliffs. Equally accessible are Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor National Park with undulating moorlands and a myriad of historic sites and monuments - a rambler's dream. Just a short walk from the on-site leisure facilities including indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, bar/restaurant, shop and reception are the Valley Lodges. During the school holidays there is a busy programme of entertainment including quiz nights and karaoke plus sporting activities (seasonal, subject to availability, extra charges apply) including archery, rock climbing, canoeing and abseiling. Arranged in small clusters along the valley stream, these typical lodge-style holiday homes are arranged over two floors with ground and first floor terraces from which to enjoy the outside space. With the living space upstairs, guests are able to step out on to a decked balcony and take in the rural outlook towards Dartmoor and across the Tamar Valley. Valley Lodge 30 is a modern holiday home with a private hot tub located in a beautiful leafy setting. Perfect for families and friends, the open plan living room has heaps of space to sleep, eat, relax and play. It opens onto a seated balcony with far reaching views and garden furniture for alfresco meals and sunsets. The kitchen is well equipped with all the mod cons and is one of the few onsite to combine a washing machine, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. When home-cooking is off the menu, there is a family friendly pub/restaurant within a short walk. The master bedroom has direct access to the patio with a private hot tub, a perfect spot for an evening tipple, and an en-suite bathroom with a second door to the hall. There are also two attractive twin bedrooms with coordinated linens and a shower room. All bedrooms have ample storage with dressing tables and fitted wardrobes.

Callington is set in the heart of the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As well as being the home of Ginsters Cornish pasties Callington offers a good selection of restaurants and pubs. Callington is a Cornish market town, rich in mining heritage and overlooked by Kit Hill, the highest point in the area, donated to the people of Cornwall by Prince Charles to celebrate the birth of Prince William. From the top of Kit Hill there are amazing views across south-east Cornwall as far as Plymouth Sound.
