The kitchen is modern and very well equipped (being one of the few properties on site to offer a combination of dishwasher, freezer, washing machine and tumble drier) and when home-cooking is off the menu, there is a good pub and shop within a short walk. Located away from the roads and traffic noise, guests will sleep soundly on comfy beds. There are three well-appointed bedrooms, a double and two twin bedrooms, all with ample storage, deep mattresses and crisp white linens. A pristine bathroom with a separate WC completes the internal layout. The sunny patio and picnic table at the front are perfect for alfresco meals or simply relaxing in the sunshine with a glass of something chilled. A firm favourite among families, there are communal lawns for ball games, a children's outdoor play area, an indoor soft play area, tennis courts and an outdoor and indoor pool. During the school holidays there is a busy programme of entertainment. Within a short drive is the National Trust property, Cotehele, a Tudor house and valley garden estate set above the River Tamar. A little further afield you can visit the glorious sandy beach at Whitsand Bay with dramatic scenery and sheer cliffs. Equally accessible are Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor National Park with undulating moorlands and a myriad of historic sites and monuments - a rambler's dream. Callington is set in the heart of the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As well as being the home of Ginsters Cornish pasties Callington offers a good selection of restaurants and pubs. Callington is a Cornish market town, rich in mining heritage and overlooked by Kit Hill, the highest point in the area, donated to the people of Cornwall by Prince Charles to celebrate the birth of Prince William. From the top of Kit Hill there are amazing views across south-east Cornwall as far as Plymouth Sound.
