About this property

Pet friendly Cornish cottage with cosy wood burner and a stroll to the local pub 2 miles away.

Laity Cottage (Milk House in Cornish) is the middle property in a terrace of three, situated on Penhallym Farm in the village of Week St Mary (Nr Bude). The property was originally the home farm of the 13th Century Penhallym Manor, mentioned in the Doomsday Book, whose ruins can still be found close by.

You enter the property into a large open plan lounge/kitchen/diner which has a fitted kitchen and a wood burner for those cooler evenings. From here 3 steps take you down to the beautifully decorated double bedroom with a standard 4' 6" bed. A flight of stairs take you up to a landing with hanging space and chest of drawers. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, wc and wash basin.

Facilities:  Use of communal freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer (situated in utility/boot room).  Night storage heaters and wood burner.  Wood burner fuel starter pack provided, then additional wood can be purchased from the owner or nearby shops.  Patio table & chairs.  One well behaved dog welcome (must be kept under careful control).  Dog walking field.  Nearest pub is in Week St Mary village (approx 2 miles).  Nearest shop at Wainhouse Corner (approx 3.5 miles).  Nearest beaches - Widemouth Bay (approx 5 miles), Crackington Haven (approx 6 miles) & Bude (approx 8 miles).

Clean comfortable and value for money. Laity cottage was just right for a weeks break with our two German Shepherd Dogs. The cottage was clean, comfortable and quiet with a local field for off lead exercise for the dogs. Penhallym Farm is close to excellent beaches including Black Rock at Widemouth which allows dogs all year round.

Outstanding, welcoming, well equipped, homely and spotlessly clean. In one word...FANTASTIC! From the fabulous warm welcome extended to my wife, myself and our Labrador puppy Archie from Tracy, Adrian and their lovely son Jack; to the stunning cottage - decorated so beautifully - Laity Cottage had everything you could possibly want and more - even down to a dog basket, blanket and treats! They have simply thought of everything!! The cottage is nestled in beautiful countryside and is conveniently situated for all places of interest on the North/West Cornish coastline. A fantastic holiday was had by all and we will be returning.
