About this property

Cornish cottage with cosy wood burner, pet welcome and a stroll to the village pub 2 miles away.

Tregoose Cottage (Farm by a wood in Cornish) is the first property in a terrace of three, situated on Penhallym Farm in the village of Week St Mary (Nr Bude).  The property was originally the home farm of the 13th Century Penhallym Manor, mentioned in the Doomsday Book, whose ruins can still be found close by.

You enter the property into a large open plan lounge/kitchen/diner which has a fully fitted kitchen and a wood burner for those cooler evenings. From here a couple of steps take you down to the beautifully decorated double bedroom with a standard 4' 6" bed. The en-suite bathroom consists of a bath with shower over, wc and wash basin.

Facilities:  Use of communal freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer (situated in utility/boot room).  Night storage heaters and wood burner.  Wood burner fuel starter pack provided, then additional wood can be purchased from the owner or nearby shops.  Patio table & chairs.  One well behaved dog welcome (must be kept under careful control).  Dog walking field.  Nearest pub is in Week St Mary village (approx 2 miles).  Nearest shop at Wainhouse Corner (approx 3.5 miles).  Nearest beaches - Widemouth Bay (approx 5 miles), Crackington Haven (approx 6 miles) & Bude (approx 8 miles).

Lovely, cosy cottage... a great find!! We stayed in Tregoose in October yet it was very warm and cosy. The conversion has been done extremely well with quality materials/fittings and the cottages are beautiful throughout, and very well equipped too. This is a great area for exploring the North Cornwall coast and is very near to Bude, Widemouth Bay, Crackington Haven and Tintagel.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tregoose to any couple wanting an ideal getaway in a lovely part of Cornwall, and I'd love to go back there given the chance.
