About this property

This stunning contemporary house sits in the pretty coastal village of Widemouth Bay, a few miles from the beautiful seaside resort of Bude and just a stone’s throw from the Blue Flag beach at Widemouth Bay. The property boasts magnificent views across the coastline from many parts of the house and offers a relaxed and warming retreat for friends and families seeking to explore this wonderful coastal area.

A spacious hallway awaits you as you enter the property, offering ample space to drop off your coats and boots, flip flops and sun hats.

The delightful and airy south facing sitting room with vaulted ceiling and wood burning stove lies at the rear of the property with large windows and patio doors providing an abundance of natural light.

Two large sofas to curl up on provide ample room to unwind; relax watching the smart TV with additional cheer and warmth provided by the wood burning stove during those chillier winter months.

Throw open the patio doors during the summer months and let the cool breeze wash over you, as you step out onto the decking and patio with spectacular views of Black Rock and the Atlantic Ocean.

Enjoy a refreshing beverage whilst enjoying the sunset, safe in the knowledge that children and dogs can play safely in the good sized, fully enclosed garden.

The sitting room leads to the open-plan kitchen/diner, where you’ll find a range of contemporary appliances including a Nespresso coffee machine, so you can easily rustle up a delicious meal for the whole family.

The 10-seater dining table enables everyone to enjoy sharing a meal together with a well-deserved glass of wine.

In 2020/21 the property was extended to include a second sitting/TV room, with bi-fold doors opening onto a sheltered south facing decking area with fabulous views across the bay and countryside. The room has a smart TV, X-box and a comfy corner sofa for daytime chilling and relaxing evenings.

The three ground-floor bedrooms set up as a king, with en-suite shower room, and two twins provide versatile accommodation and lead you back towards the front of the house.

The family bathroom on this floor offers both a bath and shower, so even those with limited mobility can look forward to staying here.

Climb the oak staircase to the first floor and you will find a twin room and the master king room, where you can enjoy a sea view from the comfort of an armchair.

A well-equipped family shower room serves this floor.

Widemouth Bay and Black Rock Beach are a mere 50m walk from the house, they offer breath-taking sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean and some of the best surfing on Cornwall’s North Coast. Additional luxury is provided by the stunning new semi-outdoor spiral shower added in 2021. As you come off the beach enter the beautiful shower area, enjoy a warming shower and remove the salt water and sand after a day in the surf or on the beach. From the shower It’s just a step to access the house into the new drying room, as you transition from outdoors to inside.

With surfboard and wetsuit hire, Trelawny Tearooms, Widemouth Bay stores selling fresh fish, locally reared meat and everyday items, Widemouth Bay Café (open daily) and The Bay View Inn, to name but a few; Widemouth offers something for everyone.

Freewave, Atlantic Pursuits and Outdoor Adventure and others all offer surfing and body boarding lessons from the car park at Widemouth.

Springtime and Christmas. Both excellent. A wonderful property to have a family get together . Facilities are fabulous and everything has been thought of. A personal preference would be a standard microwave although I appreciate what you have is multi functional and in keeping with the super kitchen.

L have some disabilities so to have the bedroom and onsuite downstairs is a big + for me. I came home and have already booked a week next year. Quite hard to find downstairs bedroom and onsuite. This property has much to offer. However I wish there was a step from the garden onto the decking to help anyone who may struggle with the step up. Look forward to our future visit

Every facility needed for a group ranging from 4 years to 65 years. Outdoor shower was great. Plenty of mugs, cutlery, plates etc. Widemouth Bay and the people in the pub, shop, cafe all helpful and friendly.
