About this property

A semi-detached, characterful cottage resting near the charming village of Bilsland, in a wonderful region of Cornwall. With a charming interior and a pretty garden outside, this cosy retreat is perfect for a family or friends looking to explore Bodmin and the surrounding area. Nestled in the countryside, offering a feeling of serene tranquility. The cottage is entered via a stone track road, where there is ample parking for two cars. Head straight on into the sitting room, which boasts an L-shape sofa, stem wall lights, a beautiful beamed ceiling and an uplifting woodburner within the alcove of the room. Take a book off the shelf and enjoy a quiet read, or simply use this space to gather your thoughts, overlooking the pretty garden outside. Meander through to the farmhouse kitchen, comprising a breakfast island, modern fittings and a dining area placed in the corner of the room, with patio doors leading to the garden. A set of stairs lead to the first floor landing, stemming off to a lovely collection of bedrooms; the twin is very bright and airy with plenty of storage space, whilst the double room boasts a king-size bed and overlooks the garden. The large bathroom offers thoughtful details, vibrant coloured tiles on the walls and a set of helpful fixtures. To the exterior, the patio allows you to enjoy the peaceful setting enveloping the enclosed space, whilst the dogs can run around with the kids safely. There is also access to a shed should you wish to bring along bikes or surf boards. The moorland village of Blisland is less than 2 miles away, where the local pub, The Blisland Inn, has won many awards for its famous ales. The village also offers a community shop, village green and church, and is just a few minutes' walk from The Camel Trail. Take the opportunity to walk or cycle 17 miles along the old railway line eventually stopping in Padstow, a chocolate-box seaside town boasting an assortment of amenities to indulge in once you arrive. For those who like fly fishing there is the Temple fishery less than eight miles from the cottage, and the A30 is within 3 miles, enabling easy access to all of Cornwall. This fabulous retreat is to be enjoyed the year-round.

The village of Blisland is the only village in Cornwall to have a village green with trees. It also boasts the award-winning pub, The Blisland Inn. Nearby, Poley’s Bridge marks the beginning of the Camel Trail, a 17-mile long route, which follows a long disused old steam engine railway line to Padstow. Pull on your walking boots and explore Bodmin Moor, or venture to the coast with your buckets and spades and enjoy a day on one of the many beautiful beaches that stretch along Cornwall’s northern coastline.
