Loved the cozy rustic feel. Was well equipped and the little things had even been thought about such as sugar and oil left in the cupboard which was a lovely touch! Had a great washroom and very powerful warm shower (although the water heading towards the door is a little scary). There were a few little things like the windows were hard to shut and we couldnât shut the bedroom doors but ultimately these didnât really matter. However, there was a bigger issue and that was that the mattress was very worn in. It had 2 massive dips either side where people had been sleeping, and it had become so soft weâd hit the bottom of the mattress when we sat on it, and of course this wasnât great for our backs. Despite this we had a lovely stay, everything felt great, homely, cozy, clean and comfortable and I would love to come back. If we plan to go to Chester again this is definitely where Iâd stay. Was a lovely weekend away thank you.

Watching the animals and bird life was lovely. We were made to feel very welcome. If we return to the UK again, The Lodge will be the accommodation of our choice. Thank you so much for a comfortable stay.
