"Initially the apartment looked very pleasant, however if was unfortunate when paying an extra £20 for 3 days heating that the heaters were off and the apartment cold when we arrived. The toilet was partly cleaned and a piece of damp toilet paper on the seat. We enjoyed the lay out and design, but the kitchen was very poorly equipped. No baking sheet, no coffee jug etc. this had been commented on (more than once) in the visitors comments book over 9 months before, so we can only assume that the owners don't want repeat custom or genuine constructive feedback. It is a shame as it could be an amazing place to stay."
Rita
"On arrival a totally uncared for apartment, otherwise could have been nice. We had to wash most of the equipment in the kitchen. Other problems too."

"I like the location and the flat. Will always remember that place."

"Close to noisy road with steep exterior staircase with lots of bird droppings to negotiate. Apartment marketed for four people, fine for two but only a difficult to operate futon type bed for the extra two. Kitchen equipment ok if you do not intend to do much cooking. Large TV in lounge plus another large TV in bedroom taking up the small amount of shelf space available. On the plus side, interesting apartment with good cafe and small shop below so staff on site were available and helpful."

"This could be a lovely apartment, but not enough effort has been put in to making the stay convenient for it's guests. It's a small thing, but there was barely any kitchen utensils - we had to buy a baking tray on the first night to cook. The thin tray that was already in the oven had bits of chip (I assume) caked onto it. Cleaning the grease of it took a while, not unlike the plates, half of which we had to re-wash. We're not sticklers for tidiness, so this was really disappointing. If you were, you might want to bring sponges and soap for the kitchen and bathroom, for which there was none. The apartment was littered with dust, cobwebs and worst of all, a constant fly infestation in the bathroom. The skirting board was also completely detached from the bathroom wall. These things individually may seem petty, but they are hallmarks of a host that does not care. We have stayed in many apartments of which all the hosts have greeted us, shown us around and made sure we were okay. We never met our host and nor did she call to make sure we were comfortable. I would also bare in mind we came in March, not exactly peak holiday season and it took over half an hour a day to get into Chester. Walking into Chester from the apartment isn't suggestible. It's off a very fast road. It's a shame to say it, but I would personally spend the extra money on a better looked after apartment in the actual city itself."
Anne
"Very pleased with the apartment. The owners were lovely and very amenable. It was great having the cafe downstairs as we had breakfast there a few days and the food was first class. Would recommend without hesitation and will return. "
Claire
"We stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of November for our daughter's graduation. A few miles out of the city but close enough with the park and ride about., 5 miles up the road. The apartment was very comfortable and the staff friendly."
Gary
"Lovely apartment, main bedroom was large, bed comfortable, everything you want for a short stay"
David
"The apartment was spacious and well presented. The difficulties relate to steep stairway access but mainly traffic noises which doesn't abate during the night.Being rooftop conversion it was very warm during good weather and a cooling fan would have been an advantage."
