"Nice little apartment for a short break. We enjoyed our stay.Positives; the location- right by the canal, with a lovely walk into Chester, and easy to travel to nearby attractions in the surrounding area. Nice big walk in shower and a reasonable kitchen for basic cooking. Negatives- WiFi very poor and unusable for much other than checking emails. Heating controlled by owners as part of their house and property was very cold on our arrival. Luckily there was a fan heater to warm it up. Bedroom quite small and was a tight squeeze for us with a travel cot for our little one."

"Good location for exploring Chester, Liverpool and Manchester. It's about a 50 minute walk along the canal to hester depending on how quick you walk! Highly recommend the local pubs (We ate a lovely meal at the Cheshire cat) which are within walking distance. Park and ride is less than a 5 min drive away. One criticism about the property is the wifi. We found it was un-usable as it kept on dropping out (its in the owners property and had to go through walls!) We wanted to book train tickets etc and it was frustrating that it took us about an hour to do so. What would be more useful is if the wifi router was within the property. I'm not sure you can advertise this property as having it with such poor connection. The showerhead also had mould on it, which I had to clean before using it."

"We had a fantastic time would recommend it to family and friends"
"very good location for exploring Chester and the surrounding area"
"Quite a nice clean small apartment but in our personal opinion it requires some modernization. It is very well placed for visiting Chester which is just what we wanted"
"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sanjo. The only issue was that the owner was having problems with the internet which went on and off intermittently which obviously was out of his control. It was within a short distance of Chester with Park and a Ride and bus service although both seemed to stop at 7pm. However a taxi back was only £8, so very affordable."
"This annex adjoined the owners home with separate entrance and parking available in front of the house. Great location. Easy to find and overlooking the canal. 4 pubs within walking distance. Probably prefer the one in the village centre. Photos are as shown on the website. No wardrobe in the bedroom but a large cupboard with hangers is provided next to the bathroom. Lovely large walk in shower. Patio door from the lounge area into small paved patio with table and chairs. Would have like a washing line to hang out the small amount of washing we did but did find a clothes aired in the cupboard which we used. You can walk along the canal path into Chester which we did several times and takes approx 40 Minutes passing a couple of restaurants and pubs on the way. Can recommend the Old Harkers Arms for a well deserved drink. A must do is the circular walk around the walls in Chester. Great way to see the city and you also get a great view of the racecourse.Overall a great stay and would recommend"
"Excellent property with easy access to Chester, The Wirral and Liverpool and North Wales.Made use of my National Trust Membership and Bus Pass."
"This property adjoins that of the owners and is conveniently located just outside Chester with good access to the surrounding areas. The facilities were adequate although some kitchen equipment was fairly basic. The owners were friendly and helpful when the need arose. It is ideal for a couple who are looking for a stay near Chester at a reasonable price."
"This holiday let fell short of our expectations. The location is excellent, close to the canal tow path, 5-min walk to Park&Ride service into Chester and a large supermarket nearby. Our hosts were friendly and non-intrusive. The accommodation formed part of the ground floor of a pleasant home on a small housing estate and it was very odd to hear the owners moving about in the rooms above us. The kitchen was well equipped, but the oven was old and the worktops and flooring needed replacing. The shower room seemed to be a work in progress, with a very modern walk-in shower, spoilt by ugly pipework between the basin and toilet, and old flooring. I'm sorry this is not a very positive review, but with some improvements it could make an ideal base for a contract worker perhaps, rather than holiday let."
"Very well-appointed and comfortable. Quiet location close to the canal. Would definitely stay there again."

"Lovely house, owners helpful and welcoming"
"Hidden gem. Fantastic location immaculate and very homely"
"a lovely cottage very welcoming owners and great location for chester and attractions. highchair and cot available made out trip with a toddler easy thank you"
"The cottage is well furnished and has everything needed. Because of my disability I found the seating very uncomfortable but it would probably be fine for others."
"Lovely annexe, located in a fantastic place, a short walk to the park and ride to go to Chester city centre and only 10 minute drive from Chester Zoo. The property was very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend holiday."
"Excellent. The cottage could do with more basic kitchen equipment such as a measuring jug and kitchen scales, and some cloths for wiping the bathroom."
"Sanjo was a great base for us to be able to visit Chester, North Wales and Liverpool. The hosts were very accommodating with cot and high hair available. Milk, tea, coffee and biscuits were left for us which was a nice touch. The area is very quiet with a couple of pubs within walking distance. An easy walk down the canal to Chester and lots of barges passing through. Outside space available to the property is very small, just large enough for a small table and chairs. The bathroom could probably do with another lick of paint really but that's all. Off road parking at the front which is very useful."
"John and Di ( Owners ) were very friendly, the accomodation is in a very nice setting and Chester is on the doorstep. We chose this location as we have family nearby and we were not disappointed, we would definately book this again."
"Great little annex ideal for 2 people. Easy canal walks and and local pubs."
