    This stunning detached house is ideal for family gatherings or fun with friends and taking full advantage of this well equipped holiday home.
    Taking its name from the common land upon which it was built in the 18th century, this superb detached farmhouse offers beautifully presented and comfortable accommodation on the border between England and Wales. Nestled within 18 acres of land, S43658 Cottages have their own equestrian facilities with an olympic-sized dressage arena, and horse riding lessons can be booked directly with the owner (at cost). Traditionally constructed with thick walls, the property has been significantly extended over the last hundred years, resulting in a spacious home, which has 5 bedrooms, 3 digital bathrooms, large and well-equipped dining kitchen and 3 reception areas, making it ideal for larger families and groups who want to spend time together. The bathrooms have digital temperature control and remote control. S43658 boasts a mixture of traditional and boutique styles and combines all the character and charm of a period property with all the comforts required from a holiday home. There is a traditional woodburner which dates back to the early 20th century, and an open fire to be found in the entertaining rooms. The property has wi-fi as well as Satellite TV with sport and movie package, multiple blu ray players and games consoles to keep the children entertained. There is also an external games room with a HD cinema (seats 2) and a small pool table. Should relaxation be more your style, then why not relax in the Jacuzzi bath which has a holistic lighting system, as well as a TV. S43658 will comfortably accommodate 9 people, however, larger parties may choose to book the additional detached lodge (ref W44150) which will accommodate a further 4 guests (2 adults and 2 children) in studio style accommodation.     "We rented S43658 for a long weekend to visit the Chester Xmas market. The Park and ride is only 6 away minutes and it would be a great place to explore the area. The house was nice and warm and we made use of the log fire. Our main criticism is the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and we were unable to use the ensuite shower because a crack had appeared in the tiles.Quite understand these things happen but when there are nine adults trying to have a shower it becomes a nuisance. All these things are totally fixable.It was a very wet weekend and the long drive up the lane full of potholes was difficult"

    "We really enjoyed our stay, the home was perfect for us. In particular the superb kitchen and dining area, the Sky TVs in various rooms, the superb cinema and the vast library of books!The garden and patio is great, much bigger than we expected with terrific views.A couple of minor problems: - the pool table in the cinema room - pool cues didnt have any tips so we didn't use it. - we couldn't get the TV to work in the otherwise lovely jacuzzi bathroom, not sure if we were doing anything wrong but a few of us tried without luck."

    "Second year in a row at S43658 Cottage and still love it. Beautiful remote location but close enough to drive to plenty of nearby places. Could just use a few more cups and glasses as we had to constantly be washing up but apart from that it was wonderful. We discovered the Wild Goose restaurant and would highly recommend the Sunday roast! I’m sure we’ll be back again!"

    "A real gem. Lovely rural location but near to Chester, Chester Zoo and Tatton Park. Shopping outlet nearby with restaurants and cinema but not needed because of the lovely home cinema and big kitchen. Local village has a lovely children's play area and a pub restaurant. The house is full of character with lots of space for our extended family and labrador. Two travel cots and high chairs! Lovely bathrooms, comfortable beds, several televisions, hundreds of books and space for the little ones to run around. They also enjoyed their very first riding lesson at the nearby riding school as recommended by the wonderful owner Andrea. Thank you for letting us experience this fantastic house."

    "Andrea was waiting for us as we arrived from Ireland. She explained everything in great detail. The house contained everything you could have needed for a holiday. We had a very enjoyable four days attending a very special family wedding.The only downside to the location was the lane into the property. It was full of potholes and very uneven. The lane wold appear to outside the control of the property owners."

    "S43658 is very nice and the lady who met us and showed us round was very pleasant and helpful. The 400 metres of road linking to the highway is unacceptable. It is barely motorable. Equipment like showers, fridges and toilets is high quality. Some equipment was lacking eg glassware, cutlery. The heating struggled to keep us warm during a very cold period."

    "The cottage was of a very high standard and comfortable.It accommodated our group and requirements for a lovely weekend break incorporating a family birthday.Local facilities were only a 10 minute drive if we needed anything The one small issue was the very heavily pot holed lane leading to the cottage which required driving extremely carefully but this was well publicised in the information and is rather out of the control of the owners.We would definitely use the property again for a family/friends gathering."
