Nantwich is a delightful market town resting on the banks of the River Weaver and the Shropshire Union Canal. Popular due to it outdoor Brine Pool which is heated throughout the summer. Within the town you will find a monthly farmers' market, historic buildings and a wealth of shops, pubs and eateries. The town also houses regular events including the Jazz, Blues and Music Festival and the world-famous International Cheese Awards.

We visited in November and the cottage was warm and comfortable, with a smart TV and little electric fire for those rainy afternoons. The kitchen is well appointed and modern with a dishwasher. The memory foam bed was comfortable and the rainfall shower a real highlight. The garden is extensive and off-road parking right outside the cottage. We visited with our dog and enjoyed plenty of local walks, including down the back lanes to the local garden center, there was also a full under-counter freezer for her raw food and a utility room with washing machine, wine cooler and dog bowls. The only improvement I could think of would be a set of sharp knives rather than serrated ones in the kitchen. Definitely follow the arrival instructions after booking and approach from the north, the approach from the south of the lane requires crossing a ford and using a significantly muddy road. Overall a cosy little bolt hole.
