    About this property

An unusual 350-year-old Grafham cottage, once owned by Oliver Cromwell's family, now divided into two holiday cottages and set within a 6-acre site, owned and managed by The Caravan Club, close to wonderful Grafham Water in Cambridgeshire. This Grafham cottage enjoys all the facilities that The Caravan Club site offers including a children's play area. This semi-detached, spacious Grafham cottage offers cosy accommodation and modern amenities, with a first floor open plan living area with well equipped kitchen, sitting area, dining area, vaulted ceiling and French doors leading to a balcony. On the ground floor are three bedrooms, a bathroom, utility room, and good-sized enclosed, private garden. Just a short walk from this Grafham cottage is Grafham Water, a stunning reservoir offering a wide choice of activities to enjoy, including walking, cycling, watersports, a cafe and picnic areas, or perfect for just relaxing by the water's edge. A lovely Grafham cottage for an active or relaxing break.

The Cambridgeshire village of Grafham is best known for its Grafham Waters, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest which cover 1500 acres. The site is also a haven for wild life, with insects, birds, mammals and amphibians. And for those who enjoy fishing, Grafham Waters is the king of the trout reservoirs. The site also offers picnic areas, restaurants, café, and specialist sports hire and sales shops. "You advertised S2230 as having Wi Fi. It Did NOT. The sight manager sent you an e mail to this effect. You did not reply. I am 83 years old and because of this you spoiled my holiday. I am not because of my age as mobile as I once was and I rely on Wi Fi and my I Pad totally. We only made the booking as Wi Fi was advertised in the amenities. You were unable to provide it and it spoiled my week. Regards Maurice Tempest"

"Being on a caravan site and close to the play area and swimming pool was great for the children but some might find it a bit noisy at times."

"We were very impressed with S2230 and surroundings. Just one minor thing that we find everywhere we go in this country, not just here, is the standard of knives in the kitchen. We like to eat out but when we do stay in and cook, the kitchen knives are always blunt or the cheap serrated ones that bend with the slightest pressure, which makes cooking rather frustrating. Fix this, and the holiday cottage will be spot on"
    Mrs T Ramus, Rochester,
"Had an enjoyable stay in a lovely cottage. The bedrooms and living rooms are of a good size."
