"Good cottage in a good part of the country."
"Very well equipped and a very relaxing place to stay. love it."
"Excellent property and location, really enjoyed our stay."
"Very clean and well equipped property. Cosy with a homely feel. Very friendly attentive and obliging owners."
"Looked just like the pictures but was taken away by the view behind the stables. Everything you need is provided. Alison the host is absolutely lovely and makes you feel very welcom. Our stay was lovely including the weather. Would definitely recommend."

"Lovely building in a nice setting with peace and quiet. Very spacious. Wet room nice but would prefer a bath after a long day out walking. Overall would go back as it was so nice"
"We had a lovely week staying at The Stables. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped. The hosts were ameniable. The location enabled us to appreciate the beautiful countryside and amazing wildlife! Lovely places and attractions to visit nearby."
"The stables was an ideal base and reasonably clean and comfortable. The shower in the wet room had very poor drainage and this made it difficult if more than one person had a shower. In addition we were not told that the owner ran a business next door. The sound travelled between the connecting door which made us feel uncomfortable when she had a client as we felt that we should not speak. While we were there the owners had a joiner fit some sound proofing but did not warn us of the event which was very noisy for one afternoon. We are not convinced that the sound proofing will make too much difference."
"We very much enjoyed staying here. Was comfortable with plenty of equipment and the owners were very helpful."
"The Stables was a perfect holiday cottage. It was roomy, warm (out of season), and spotlessly clean. It was well-equipped and beautifully situated in open countryside. Cambridge itself isonly a 20 minute drive away, and much closer is Ely, Newmarket and Wicken Fen, which is well worth visiting."
"A very pleasant cottage.Clean, well equipped, comfortable and peaceful.Good location for visiting Cambridge, Ely and other areas of Cambridgeshire."

"This property has recently been added - customer comments will appear here soon."
"A very good place to stay with a lot of things to do reasonably local."
"lovely spot but with only one bathroom and six adults a rota had to be set up for mornings and evenings"
"Quiet location however felt we were watched as owners property only yards from the stables.Did not realize how rural it was, after travelling several hours to reach it we then had to travel approx. 30 mins to obtain milk, bread etc not the best start to the holiday. With only one bathroom mornings were hectic with five adults."
"We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay in a quiet area, very close to various attractive day trip destinations. Our hosts were very pleasant and respected our privacy - as we did theirs."
    "Realy relaxing."
"We really enjoyed the stay. The house was great for 5 of us, really comfortable and a good location in that it was amidst lots of nice little towns. A lovely view out over fields and great sunrises and sunsets."
"Fantastic place and worth the stay. Since we were visiting friends in the area we were using it as a sleepover point only."

"Great location - ideal for a trip to the races - local pub worth a look and if you need a cab ask for Rachels number - superb"
"Excellent holiday home, well equipped, completely comfortable, very spacious, very secluded, very quiet. Situated in flat fenland, with great views, large skies, and a good range of wildlife - we saw hares and red-legged partridges, and sometimes deer visit as well. If you like exploring cities, then Ely is nearby, and Cambridge isn't too far either. Wicken Fen is run by the National Trust, and is very accessible. We came here specifically to visit nearby family, but if you're looking for somewhere to get away from it all I can thoroughly recommend The Stables."
"Has to be the best accommodation i have stayed in, fantastic property and lovely people a real pleasure to have stayed there,"
"Cosy, comfortable, spacious and ideal base for visiting all the attractions in the area particularly Wicken Fen. Good pubs nearby and easy access to park and ride for Cambridge. Nice open views and lovely sunsets."
"The low location score reflects remoteness from Cambridge, but this is only relative, so a bit harsh, and if one is interested in Ely or Newmarket you would give a higher score. Certainly the environment of the location is very good, and the size cleanliness and equipment is amongst the best we have seen."
"That this is our third stay here speaks for itself. Comfortable, practical and welcoming."
"Spacious and very well equipped . Lovely views and great value for money"
"Excellent house that we've liked so much that we've come back to for a second stay. Very quiet location, very comfortable, and well equipped. We have stayed in several other houses in the area, and this is now our first choice. Highly recommended. The owners live nearby. They don't intrude, but are very friendly and helpful, and have a lovely little dog!"

"The stables is stunning the reason I gave an 8 for location is that you need a car to get about. It was perfect for our stay but a taxi ride to Ely is 20 pounds"
"Lovely rural cottage. Only negatives are there is no bath, you have to walk through one of the twin bedrooms to get to the master bedroom and it would really benefit from a patio area and garden furniture at the back of the property to sit out and watch the amazing sunsets."
"A very desirable location and holiday cottage/bungalow. Well equipped and comfortable with space to move. Near to tourist attractions but rural location so using own car is essential."
"Had a wonderful week! The Stables is in a great location for visiting Ely, Cambridge and Newmarket. Soham is the closest for supermarkets and a fabulous bakery and fish and chip shop. Enjoyed the peaceful garden. Accommodation very spacious and really comfortable beds. High quality bedding and towels. Very well equipped kitchen. We were made very welcome and had a super holiday."
"Wonderful cottage, great location, very well equipped - heaven. Only thing lacking is a fire/wood burner which was fine in August but might make me think again before booking a winter holiday here, but that's just a personal preference not a criticism."
"A very pleasant property in a rural setting. Made very welcome by Alison and Stephen."
"Owners very friendly and helpful. Great local pubs nearby."
"The property is described as detached which it is not. The owner has a large consulting room attached which is occasionally used in her therapy business. The location is second to none, and the gardens large and well-maintained. The kitchen and lounge are both very spacious and light and well furnished. The one bathroom (for up to 6 people !) is in the centre of the property and some way from the bedroom area. The bedroom layout will not suit everyone. Bedrooms 1 and 3 are fine and private, but you must walk through bedroom 2 to get to 3."
"This 'cottage' is really a very nicely-furnished home. We had everything we needed and everything was spotlessly clean. The view from the back windows over countryside is wonderful."
"Perfect for our needs. Owners are great. Our son loved that there were toys to play with. Loved the isolated location that was still only 20 minutes from a direct train to London. Will definitely use again."
"We had a wonderful time at The Stables. The property is situated in an idyllic location which is only a few miles from the nearest town, but, at the same time, is remote enough to give you that sense of ruralness. The property was immaculately clean and there were plenty of 'extras' that one would not normally find in a holiday cottage - both in terms of things to do (the children loved the exercise bike!), and in terms of the consumables like having plenty of tea bags and toilet paper. And our hosts were friendly but respectful of our privacy.Best thing about the cottage - the sunsets. They were amazing!"
"The cottage is very comfortable. No welcome pack as discussed by other guests, but some condiments and other helpful items left there. Kitchen very well equipped and large dining and lounging areas. Close to Ely and other National Trust attractions. Very friendly hosts. Bit of an odd layout, but as we were four adults and a child suited us fine. Would be good to have outside furniture as discussed by others so you can enjoy any sunshine you get."
"Absolutely wonderful place. Definitely would go back there without hesitation. We were so impressed with the whole cottage and everything that was in it. The owner could not have been nicer and even presented us with a bottle of wine and card on Christmas Day."
"Lovely place to stay. Loved the kitchen and space. If there are 6 people in your party one needs to be aware one bedroom is accessed by walking through another bedroom. The other little minus was there was nowhere to hang clothes other than coat hooks. Everything else was fantastic, but with one bathroom and toilet perhaps the cottage is best suited to a party of four."
"Beautiful cottage, really huge and spacious whilst warm and homely. Beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Kitchen better equipped than at home! Wonderful range of toys were an unexpected bonus, occupied our 1, 5, 9 & 12 year olds for hours. Very welcoming hosts couldn't do enough to help. In a lovely area, so much to do nearby, helpful tourist leaflets box in kitchen. No Wifi and mobile reception poor but found out at end of week that owner would help you get online if you asked. Definitely planning on returning. "
"We loved this cottage. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Owners very friendly and extremely helpful. Location brilliant for visits to Cambridge, Ely and loads of market towns."
"We picked the Stables as a last minute break for myself and my Mum who is disabled. We were overwhelmed by the luxury and friendliness that greeted us.The amenities were excellent and we had some lovely days out in the surrounding area."
"The best cottage we have ever stayed in. Alison was the perfect host who made you feel welcome and at home. The cottage is very spacious, 3 good sized bedrooms, fantastic fully fitted kitchen with plenty of crockery and utensils, there was even tea, coffee, milk, a bowl of fruit, 2 bottles of wine, orange juice and other essentials provided by Alison . Large wetroom with many toiletries provided. Beautiful lounge with extremely large sofas. Very tastefully decorated. Excellent quiet location. Cottage was spotlessly clean. we feel that there is nothing that Alison can do to better this cottage she should be proud of her 5 star cottage. Special thanks to Alison for Davids birthday card and cake, and for the apples from the trees We will not hesitate to return or recommend anybody to book this cottage. "

"The cottage is great - very well kept - and the hosts were extremely welcoming."
"We were very satisfied with our stay at the Stables. The cottage was clean, comfortable, spacious and cosy. While having meals in the dining area, we could admire a beautiful view of the field of corn with some old apple trees, which was quite idyllic. The hosts were very polite, helpful and kind."
