About this property

Completed in 2019, The Studio adjoins the owner’s home, while being completely self-contained with its own private entrance and garden. With its clean, stylish lines and contemporary features, it makes for a relaxing and pleasant base from which to explore all the delights of Cambridgeshire and the east of England.

This delightful property is situated in the tranquil and secluded village of Lolworth. The village may be off the beaten track, but nearby travel links are excellent, with the A14 taking you to Cambridge and the M11 getting to you London in around an hour. • When you’re staying at The Studio, a stroll around the vibrant town of Cambridge is a must. Walk along ‘The Backs’, where you can stroll by the River Cam and admire the stunning architecture of the colleges. One of the gems of the town is King’s College Chapel, a magnificent Gothic building finished in Henry VIII’s reign. If you’re lucky enough, you might hear the choir singing too.

  • Speaking of the Cam, a punt along the river is a great way to experience Cambridge. You can hire a boat to punt yourselves, or hire one with a chauffeur who’ll do all the hard work for you! If you’re here in the summer, you might be able to go on a Bat Safari Punt too.

  • In Cambridge, Kettle’s Yard is a unique and inspiring private home that has been turned into an art gallery. Every single object here, from the seashells on the mantelpieces to the masterpieces on the walls, has been placed with absolute precision. The whole house is a work of art in itself.

  • Another Cambridge museum that’s world-famous is the Fitzwilliam. The museum is home to one of the best collections of antiquities and art in Europe, and you’ll find masterpieces here by Monet, Picasso, Rembrandt and more. Admission is free.

  • If you’d like to get out into the countryside, a trip to Anglesey Abbey is well worth it. This Jacobean-style house has lovely gardens and a working watermill. Inside the house you’ll be transported back to the 1930s, with kitchen demonstrations and more.

  • Another National Trust property that makes for a great day out is Wimpole Estate, with its impressive mansion, parkland, gardens and farm. You could simply wander through the parkland or explore the treasures inside the mansion, the largest country house in Cambridgeshire.
