Villa Neus is an elegant holiday home located in a quiet neighbourhood that sits on a wooded hillside close to the small, inland town of Benitachell. The villa offers beautiful sea views from its terraces and balconies, as well as from many of its spacious rooms.
With a comfortable and warm feel throughout, Villa Neus is the perfect base for a family holiday in the picturesque Costa Blanca region of Spain. The earthy décor and furnishings made from natural materials complement the villa’s idyllic surroundings, with numerous large windows flooding it with light.
The large living room features two sofas, a television and wood-burning stove for cosy evenings in. Adjacent to this space is a wonderfully bright dining area with a table that seats up to six people. It’s ideally located next to the large doors that provide stunning views over the hills and sea and access to a small balcony. The fully-fitted kitchen has all the appliances that you could need for a comfortable stay, including an oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and coffee machine. There’s also a small breakfast bar that’s ideal for grabbing a quick coffee or juice before heading out for the day. A separate area features a living/dining room with doors opening onto the outside space and a well-equipped kitchen with washing machine and tumble dryer for extra convenience.
There are five bedrooms in total, and all feature a double bed each, with one also having an ensuite bathroom with shower. For use by all guests are two family bathrooms with a shower each.
Surrounding the villa is the large terrace with a private pool and a selection of sun loungers, making it easy to find the ideal spot for soaking up the spectacular hill and sea views. Close to a pretty gravel garden is a dining table for enjoying al fresco meals. Stairs to the side of the villa take you to a couple of partially-covered terraces with outdoor dining, a barbecue and further opportunities to enjoy a meal as you watch the sun set behind the hills.
Being part of a neighbourhood means amenities are never too far away. Within easy reach are several restaurants and shops, making Villa Neus ideally located for evening meals out as well as for stocking up on essentials.
The nearest beach is Cala del Moraig, which is under a 10-minute drive from the villa. It’s a rather secluded and remote spot, meaning it’s a quiet place to enjoy a day out by the sea with the family. Despite its rugged backdrop and pebbled beach, it also offers stretches of sand that are ideal for relaxing on and watching the turquoise waters lapping the shore. The water is incredibly clear, so snorkelling is highly recommended. There’s a great restaurant nearby that serves a range of dishes made from local fish and seafood.
Altea is around 35 minutes away from the villa by car and is a fascinating place to spend a few hours. It’s another coastal town that still offers plenty of traditional Spanish charm, as well as lovely views from its hillside setting. Within the old town’s cobbled streets are lots of charming shops that sell all sorts of handmade goods, which is ideal for taking home as souvenirs. There’s also a great choice of restaurants for enjoying a delicious meal when lunchtime comes around. The most striking and famous feature of Altea is the beautiful blue-domed church of the Virgin de Consuelo, which sits right at the top of the old town area. Make your way up to this church and be rewarded with almost panoramic views of the bay.
