Casa Rueda offers a tranquil holiday home amongst the trees, each corner filled with character features and unique charms that make every element of your stay feel special. Balancing indoor and outdoor living, the villa is suitable for all times of the year; whether you are curling up on a sofa, or lounging back on a deck chair, there is always room to relax.
The villa itself is spread over three spacious floors, each offering a lovely country house feel, with views over the surrounding countryside that help immerse you in the surrounding nature.
On the ground floor a beautiful, large entrance hall leads through to the main living room, where in one corner comfy sofas have been arranged around a warming fireplace, and in the other a large sofa sits facing a television, ideal for cosy nights in as a family, with everyone gathering in one space, playing games and sharing stories.
From the living room, you can access the beautiful dining room, with a large table, ready to seat eight guests. The dining area leads on to the well-equipped kitchen, with everything you need to prepare delicious family feasts, maybe a putting a Spanish spin on your home-cooked classics! On this floor, there is also an en-suite bedroom and a further shared bathroom.
Stepping up to the first floor, guests are presented with five more spacious bedrooms, each with simple furnishings and plenty of storage, so you can unpack and make yourself at home. One of the rooms boasts an en-suite, whilst the other four share two large bathrooms. On the top floor, there are two more large bedrooms that share a final bathroom. Each of the bedroom throughout the villa can be configured to suit your needs, with extra sofa and pull out beds, so groups of up to five can share one room – perfect for large family gatherings!
Outside, under the dappled light of the treetops, you can enjoy the fresh air even on the hottest summer days. The villa opens out into a luscious garden and a spacious terrace, with the glamour of a large private swimming pool and a luxurious jacuzzi, it feels impossible not to relax. With plenty of outdoor seating and a barbecue for your use, al-fresco living is a must, cooking up fresh fish and salads, using local Mediterranean ingredients!
Often referred to as the ‘Jewel on the Mediterranean’, Sitges offers the perfect coastal retreat for a holiday in the sun! Reputed to offer 300 days of sunshine a year, it is a quaint little coastal town surrounded by the hills of the Garraf National Park.
Casa Rueda sits just 20 minutes from the beach and town centre of Sitges, or if you’re not feeling the walk, it is a 10-minute drive! The perfect location for exploring this beautiful coastal area! The area offers everything you might need for a relaxed holiday, with amenities close by such as shopping, supermarkets, restaurants, bars and evening entertainment.
When you venture into the old town, there typically narrow Spanish streets that you can amble around explore each day. These pretty streets slowly lead you down to a picturesque, palm tree-lined promenade that runs the entire length of the open bay with its various beautiful beaches.
If you are already a wine connoisseur or are simply interested in tasting some local grapes, then you will enjoy visiting the local vineyards and bodegas of Torres, Cordoniu and Priorat. For food, you should try some traditional Catalan dishes, often featuring fresh seafood and Mediterranean vegetables, the delicacies are mouth-wateringly good! You will be lucky as Sitges itself offers a fabulous selection of restaurants, with cuisines from all around the world, ideal for pleasing every guest.
The access to this stunning town is as easy as it gets, located just 20-minutes from Barcelona’s El Prat international airport. It is not necessary to hire a car when staying in Sitges as there are excellent transport links to and from Barcelona airport and into Barcelona city.
The famous cosmopolitan capital city of Barcelona, less than an hour away by car, is bursting with charm. Well known for its architecture and art, millions of people flock to this city to revel in its delights, and it is easy to see why!
You must visit for a day, or even two, wandering around the old streets of the Gothic centre, eating at the fish restaurants in La Boqueria market, ambling around Park Guell and feasting your eyes on the stunning Gaudi architecture, visible throughout the city, in particular, the Sagrada Familia, cannot be missed!
