A light and inviting holiday home close to Maspalomas, Villa de la Rosa will give up to six guests a great Gran Canaria experience. With a stunning terrace and private pool just outside, this villa enjoys a quiet location on the prestigious Salobre Golf Resort.

This air-conditioned villa features modern décor and furnishings, and it has great views of the surrounding countryside. You can relax on the terrace which has sun loungers lined up beside the pool, enjoy a morning swim or a barbecue in the evening. There is a lovely outdoor dining area which is the perfect place to enjoy meals at any time.

Inside, the living room has a contemporary seating area with a TV, DVD and a music system, and large, comfy sofas and armchairs. This room has direct access to the terrace and enjoys fabulous views through the large windows. The sleek kitchen has an oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, and has a similarly modern feel.

The house covers two levels and has three bedrooms, two of which are double bedrooms. The other is a twin room, ideal for the children, and you have a family bathroom with bath and shower, and a separate WC.

The swimming pool is large at 8m x 3m, and is available to use all year round. There is also a garden area with lawn where children can play. Villa de la Rosa’s elevated position provides a fine view of the surrounding mountains, and all this is just 3km from the beach at Maspalomas.

As part of a golf resort, Villa de la Rosa is only 50m from the course. If shopping and socialising is more your thing, you’re in luck too, because the upscale delights of Meloneras are easily accessible. Trendy and chic, with countless bars and cafés lining the promenade, it’s the place to see and be seen in this part of Gran Canaria.

Maspalomas is easy to reach from the island’s airport, which is only 20 minutes’ drive away, so you’ll be having a great time at Villa de la Rosa in no time at all.

Gran Canaria is an island which has it all. Exquisite landscapes, beautiful beaches, entertainment when you want it, and peace and quiet when you don’t. Its irresistible mix of nature, culture and a warm welcome to visitors brings people back time and again.

The capital, Las Palmas, sits in the far north-eastern corner of the island. Among its highlights are the huge marina, Muelle Deportivo, and the beautifully designed park, Parque Doramas. Also, look out for the eye-catching Alfredo Klaus Auditorium which itself looks out on Las Canteras beach. You may even see a show or a concert there.

There is lots more of architectural interest in the town. Many of the most interesting buildings are found in the Vegueta area, including Santa Ana Cathedral. You will also find a Christopher Columbus museum and a modern art gallery in this district.

Away from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria has many more highlights. The Cueva Pintada archaeological site is a must for history lovers, while the cloud-filled views at the island’s peak near the town of Tejada are definitely worth the journey. On the southern coast, you have the sand dunes of the extensive beaches at Maspalomas, while charming spots like Puerto de las Nieves and Agaete in the north west, will simply make you feel good with their unspoilt natural beauty.

As one of Europe’s most gay-friendly destinations, Gran Canaria has no shortage of welcoming bars and clubs, while the regular carnivals and fiestas provide good fun for all. Whatever you plan on doing, you can be sure Gran Canaria has the weather for it, with the sun shining pretty much continuously all year round.
