A stunning, modern villa for up to six guests, Villa Josefina looks out over the Salobre Golf Resort near Maspalomas on Gran Canaria’s southern coast. You’ll be just 5km from the beach, and enjoy this villa’s quiet, sunny position and mountain views.

Villa Josefina has its own private swimming pool and terrace, and a covered outdoor seating and dining area is one of its highlights. Steps lead you down to the pool, where plenty of sun loungers await those not yet ready to jump in.

The house has a spacious living room with L-shaped seating area, accessible directly from the terrace. This room enjoys a spectacular view, and offers entertainment with satellite TV and a music system – Wi-Fi is also available.

The living area leads through to the kitchen, with oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer. This room gets lots of light and is a pleasure to spend some time in as the day begins. Fully air-conditioned, Villa Josefina also has a double bedroom and two twin bedrooms. There is a fourth bedroom with a pull-out bed suitable for a child.  A bathroom with bath tub and shower, and a second shower room, can also be found at this villa.

Villa Josefina is a fine place to enjoy some peace and quiet, catching up with family or friends. You can all find something to enjoy in Maspalomas, with its extensive stretch of beach, known for its many sand dunes, one of the best reasons to linger. There are shops, bars and clubs to discover, and play areas for the children.

Neighbouring Meloneras is a place for the adults to appreciate. It’s upscale but doesn’t flaunt it, so you can enjoy the good life with a degree of subtlety and sophistication. The attractions extend from designer boutiques to fine dining, casinos and cabaret, so there will always be something to enjoy whatever the hour.

Gran Canaria is an island which has it all. Exquisite landscapes, beautiful beaches, entertainment when you want it, and peace and quiet when you don’t. Its irresistible mix of nature, culture and a warm welcome to visitors brings people back time and again.

The capital, Las Palmas, sits in the far north-eastern corner of the island. Among its highlights are the huge marina, Muelle Deportivo, and the beautifully designed park, Parque Doramas. Also, look out for the eye-catching Alfredo Klaus Auditorium which itself looks out on Las Canteras beach. You may even see a show or a concert there.

There is lots more of architectural interest in the town. Many of the most interesting buildings are found in the Vegueta area, including Santa Ana Cathedral. You will also find a Christopher Columbus museum and a modern art gallery in this district.

Away from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria has many more highlights. The Cueva Pintada archaeological site is a must for history lovers, while the cloud-filled views at the island’s peak near the town of Tejada are definitely worth the journey. On the southern coast, you have the sand dunes of the extensive beaches at Maspalomas, while charming spots like Puerto de las Nieves and Agaete in the north west, will simply make you feel good with their unspoilt natural beauty.

As one of Europe’s most gay-friendly destinations, Gran Canaria has no shortage of welcoming bars and clubs, while the regular carnivals and fiestas provide good fun for all. Whatever you plan on doing, you can be sure Gran Canaria has the weather for it, with the sun shining pretty much continuously all year round.
