Nestled in the heart of the ancient town of Pollensa, Casa Mallorquina offers timeless elegance, beauty and luxury all rolled into one. Accommodating up to eight guests across four spacious bedrooms, this stunning townhouse offers guests a comfortable and memorable stay with high-end, modern facilities, a private pool, and incredible views.
The traditional Spanish architecture of Casa Mallorquina is truly breathtaking, with refinement oozing from every archway and beam and from every corner of each tastefully designed room. Featuring stunning artworks and antiques a-plenty, this unique holiday accommodation is a real find, with its high ceilings and stunning entrance hall, thick stone walls and ceramic floors. The first thing that catches your eye as you enter is the spacious dining area, featuring an incredible restored stone fountain as its centrepiece, and a classic-style dining table that seats up to six guests and lends itself perfectly to rustic feasts and good wine, morning coffee and busy breakfasts. Also on the ground floor of Casa Mallorquina is the spacious state-of-the-art kitchen, fully-equipped with everything you'll need to rustle up family meals during your stay, including a large American-style fridge-freezer and large range oven. There's also a beautifully stylish bathroom which is complete with gorgeous Italian-style fixtures and fittings.
The lounge area is situated on the first floor of Casa Mallorquina and is decorated and furnished to the same incredibly high standards. This spacious area is light and airy, with luscious wall hangings and glorious antiques (including an indulgent French chaise longue!) which marry beautifully with the property's more modern, practical touches, like the sumptuous sofas and cosy armchair, wall-mounted plasma screen TV, and wood burner - perfect for any chilly evenings.
The first floor of Casa Mallorquina is where you'll find the property's three bedrooms, and there's no doubt about it; they're impressive. Again, spacious and bright and with exceptional views of the pretty streets and the mountains beyond, each room is resplendent with white walls and linens, exposed beams and delicious wooden accents in the form of beautifully crafted furniture. All three rooms feature double beds and ensuite facilities, with the master boasting an ensuite shower room and what is often considered the best view!
Ascending to the second floor, you'll be delighted to discover an incredibly spacious twin-bed studio apartment, offering ample wardrobe space and a large ensuite bathroom with a shower, bath and double sink. Through an archway, you can access the floor's kitchenette, with doors that open out onto the furnished roof terrace - the perfect place to enjoy an evening drink or morning coffee. The addition of this self-contained floor makes Casa Mallorquina ideal accommodation for two family or friendship groups staying together, or perhaps for a family with older teens, offering the utmost privacy.
The exterior of this enchanting holiday home is no less impressive, with the jewel in its crown undoubtedly being the heated private pool. The villa gardens offer a real haven of peace and privacy with lush foliage, a pretty terrace and barbecue area, and a shaded alfresco dining space - in fact, it's easy to forget that you are situated; right in the centre of town! Casa Mallorquina also features a large garage - ideal for storing your suitcases or all of the souvenirs you're going to purchase during your stay! - and there are four bicycles available for use while on your holiday, ideal for exploring the town and surrounding area.
Villa Mallorquina is located right in the centre of one of Mallorca’s oldest and most beautiful towns - Pollensa. Shops, restaurants, supermarkets and bars are just minutes away on foot, and we recommend taking a stroll through the pretty streets to one of the town bakeries for fresh bread and pastries. The atmosphere in Pollensa is laidback and peaceful, with the area being one of the smaller and quieter holiday tourist spots in the region - but that doesn’t mean you’ll be stuck for things to do! There are plenty of wonderful sights to enjoy in the town, including the Museu de Pollenca, which is housed in a former 16th-century convent. Now a museum showcasing art spanning several centuries, this beautiful building is well worth a visit to appreciate its architecture and design, as well as fascinating artefacts that relate to prehistoric burials in the area.
Another must-see attraction we recommend visiting during your stay in Pollensa is the Calvari Steps, which lead to the top of the town and the beautiful little Church of Nostra Senyora dels Angels - there are allegedly 365 steps, so be sure to wear suitable footwear! At midday, the light spills through the church’s gorgeous stained glass windows, which really is a sight to behold, but whatever time you visit, you’ll be rewarded with this stunning building’s intricate interior, as well as some incredible views over the town.
If after that sightseeing you’ve worked up an appetite, head to Pollensa’s central square, where you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to bars and restaurants offering everything from traditional Mediterranean fare such as Tumbet (a vegetarian dish of aubergines, potatoes, red peppers, garlic, tomatoes and love oil), to fresh seafood dishes, salads, steaks, tapas and burgers.
Of course, one of Pollensa’s main attractions is its stunning beaches, and even though these narrow, sandy stretches are incredibly popular with visitors during the summer months, it’s never too noisy or busy. Puerto Pollensa beach is undoubtedly the most popular with families and has great amenities such as umbrella rental, sports facilities and lots of cafes, bars and restaurants - but we definitely recommend doing a bit of beach hopping while you are here!
D’Albercruix beach is ideal for those looking for peace and seclusion, while Can Cap Bou beach is a must if you enjoy watersports - and is especially popular with kite surfers. Cala Boquer is another secluded beach with crystal clear waters and surrounded by mountains that offer great hiking opportunities for those who want to do more than lay around soaking up the sun!
