Upon stepping through the doors, you are welcomed by a grand entrance hall featuring a beautiful chandelier and a sweeping staircase up to the bedrooms on the first floor; a spectacular first impression that will stay with you throughout your stay. The living room on the ground floor is an opulent space set with comfortable sofas placed around a log fire and large screen TV. There is a large dining area to enjoy, and if after-dinner entertainment is on the cards, well why not entertain your guests on the wonderful piano! Also on this level, you’ll find a beautiful well-equipped kitchen and a large double bedroom. This master suite is a wonderful sanctuary with a large sumptuous bed, fantastic en suite, walk-in closet and doors out onto the covered terrace, just perfect for throwing open in the morning to let the gentle warm breeze in.
Up the grand staircase, you’ll discover three more delightful bedrooms and two bathrooms. All bedrooms comprise of single beds that can easily be converted into doubles, making them ideal for children or adults sharing, and all offer access to another large sun terrace with sun loungers and spectacular views, making enjoying that Mediterranean sun only seconds away each day.
As well as this upper terrace, there is a huge shaded terrace accessed through the lounge, offering plentiful seating on stylish sofas and large sunbeds to while away hot Spanish afternoons. There is also a large dining table on which to enjoy your culinary efforts late into the evening. Down two sets of dramatic stone steps, you’ll discover the refreshing oasis that is the large outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, set amongst beautiful palm trees with views out over the Mediterranean sea. The town itself offers a relaxed atmosphere, with an abundance of restaurants, shops and beachfront bars, not forgetting a beautiful golden sandy beach. It still manages to avoid being overcome by tourism. La Cala de Mijas certainly retains something of its Andalucian seaside village past, having originally been a tiny fishing village. With street markets twice weekly, many of its festivals throughout the year, and flamenco shows on the promenade throughout the summer months, you can’t help but immerse yourself in its culture.
With stunning coastal walks, several excellent golf courses and of course an abundance of watersports all on your doorstep, you won’t be short of activities to keep the family happy. The 2000 metre long beach is a fantastic draw, with a delightful promenade offering up plenty of beach bars and restaurants. And with sunbeds, umbrellas, toilets and showers available and great parking throughout the year, a day out at the beach will be hassle-free, leaving you relaxed and able to enjoy days soaking up that magnificent Mediterranean sun.
