About this property

As you wander down the cobble-stoned pathway, under the towering trees and past the bushy hedging you will start to feel your shoulders drop, the tension will melt away as you begin your holiday.

Entering the villa, you are greeted by bright white walls contrasted against the dark tiling and exposed wooden beams. It’s a very European, continental home; with arched doorways and shuttered windows. All guests can relax and take a load off, as this home away from home offers many nooks for some peace and quiet. There are plenty of living spaces; an open plan living room with enough space to seat the whole crowd come movie night and also another living room, with a games table.

The kitchen, which is like taking a step back into grandma’s house, is well-equipped with everything from a coffee maker to a microwave to make mealtimes less stressful. Meals can be enjoyed in the spacious dining room, which boasts a table big enough to seat the whole group; memories can be made as you reminisce over your day.

As well as the living area, the ground floor has one suite bedroom, which has its own en-suite, and also a guest toilet. The other bedrooms are on the first floor, with three suite bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have two single beds and an en-suite bathroom, complete with a tub, and the other has a double bed. All of the rooms are comfy and cosy, offering natural light through the shuttered windows.

Of course, you aren’t going to Portugal to spend all day inside. You want a villa that boasts a glistening, crystal clear swimming pool. You want sun loungers that call your name. And you probably want a barbeque so you can cook up a feast, filling the yard with sensational aromas. Thankfully, this villa offers all of this; wrapped up in a beautiful garden with tall trees and well-established hedging.

The villa is situated in the renown Quinta do Peru Golf Resort and is 14 kilometres from the nearest beach.

With over 20 million tourists a year, Portugal is a lively holiday hub. The dreamy, Mediterranean weather is an obvious drawcard; but the beaches, history and stunning architectural delights are just some of the other reasons why people visit.

This villa is located along the Lisbon Coast, a relaxed spot that is a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. This region is home to some of the most beautiful beaches, for sunbathers and surfers alike. It is also home to some of Portugal’s historic jewels and some of the most beautiful, fairytale-like palaces.

When it comes to sun worshipping, it is worth visiting Praia de Ursa, which is famed for its rock formations and also to Caparica Coast, which has more than 30 miles of beach, often less crowded than other spots.

Nearby spots for day-trips include Sintra, which is home to the aforementioned turreted palaces; Convento dos Capuchos, an abandoned monastery and Obidos, a 12-century walled town.

Last, but not least, you certainly must enjoy some of the freshly caught fish that adorns the menus of many local restaurants. After all, when in Portugal!

We had a very good stay at Villa Eduarda. The golf complex is stunning and utterly quiet. The location was perfect for us and our specific needs. The exterior is very beautiful. It offers a lounging and eating area with shade as well as a good size pool. The bedrooms are all good sizes and the beds are comfortable. All is nicely decorated. The check-in was smooth and Marina, the concierge, provided us with all the necessary information upon our arrival. The only real downside for us was the kitchen. Being two families, the size of it made it difficult sometimes to cook meals. Also, some basic items were missing for cooking (there were 2 bottle openers, both broken. No vegetable peeler, only 1 big cutting board, etc.). This being said, those are all easy fixes and I am sure the owner will gladly fit the kitchen with all the basic necessities. Overall, a very good stay in this beautiful region of Portugal.
