Casa Tranquilla is an aptly named restored farmhouse, set in the heart of Puglia, close to the ancient town of Fasano, lovingly executed by Carlo and Grazia who fell in love with the region and set to work restoring the beautiful building, while retaining its original charm. True to its name, Casa Tranquilla is set in a secluded and verdant spot, nestled among olive groves and rolling Puglia countryside, while being close to the sea and steeped in historical interest.
Casa Tranquilla is set within expansive and meticulously maintained private grounds, offering ultimate seclusion and privacy, away from the bustle and stresses of modern living. With its sweeping drive and elegant gardens, together with dazzling whitewashed exterior, guests will truly enter a haven of calm and comfort, ideal for restoration and quality family time.
The immaculate lawns are framed by elegant, swaying trees, while the pool glistens invitingly - the light here is wonderful, particularly in the evening, Puglia being one of Italy’s most picturesque landscapes. There is ample space for parking on the estate; guests will enjoy the self-contained and private nature of this stylish escape. Fragrant fruit trees fill the air with scent, while the rose gardens set within the rockery is so pretty. Guests will particularly enjoy al fresco dining: the chic gazebo style outdoor dining space offers an elegant, shaded spot to enjoy long and lazy lunches or wonderful breakfasts after a refreshing morning swim.

Casa Tranquilla is nestled outside Fasano, which is located in the sloping hills and grotto-packed plains of Puglia, on the Adriatic coast. Fasano has ancient roots dating back to Greco-Roman times, and the dazzling white historical centre is a quaint maze of narrow lanes, archways, stairways, and little piazzas. Piazza Ciaia is the hub of life and is encircled by beautiful building; it a popular spot for a stroll and gelato.
The region is known for its olive oil production, as evidenced by the surrounding stretches of olive groves. Puglia, a southern region forming the heel of Italy’s “boot” is known for its distinctive white-washed hill towns, centuries-old farmland and hundreds of kilometres of Mediterranean coastline.
The capital Bari is a vibrant port and university town, whilst Lecce is the ‘Florence of the south’ - known for its baroque architecture and “trulli” - stone huts with cone-shaped roofs that were originally homes; today they can be visited in their preserved form, and provide something of a fairy tale-esque experience for younger members of the group!
