Mountcharles is located just off the main road from Donegal to Killybegs, Ireland’s busiest fishing port. The village is home to two shops and three friendly pubs, where you will be greeted with the warmest of welcomes by the locals. The town of Donegal is a hub of activity, culture and tradition with many cafes, galleries and eateries to tempt you and a plethora of outdoor attractions such as golf courses, Lough Eske Lake, fishing, endless sandy beaches, watersports and horse riding to name a few. Further afield you can enjoy the surf at Bundoran, scenery and culture in Sligo, or hop on the Wild Atlantic Way and discover the stunning coastlines of the North West. It is such a lovely and welcoming place. There is loads of forest walks beaches and other places to visit while staying here. It is lovely getting welcome gifts like a homemade apple pie wine and milk. Would highly recommend.

Equipped with everything we needed, very comfortable chairs and bed, great shower and bathroom facilities, and the kitchen had everything !!!. The garden was beautiful and totally secure, meaning our pup Flynn could roam to his heart's content. Great location, 10 mins from Donegal town, 5 mins from a beautiful beach and glorious Donegal on your doorstep. We couldn't find ANY fault with the cottage, which led to one of our best ever holidays. We would recommend Summerhill Cottage 100%, a great job by the owners.
