This would have been a stunningly beautiful property once, but needed a lot of repair works to the roof, particularly as the weather tends to be very wet we had a bucket in several rooms when it rained hard!! The location and much of the property was perfect for our family holiday. This property was so rural we had the mice too!! All our concerns were dealt with swiftly by the John who was always very helpful and sorted out central heating issues and mice. The owners couldn't be more welcoming and generous. Lovely bedding, towels, toiletries, tea towels, plenty of fuel. Hot water and a beautiful big bath, open fires, everything to keep us warm. I am sorry to rate it poor, and this does not reflect what we actually felt as much of the property was excellent for us, but mice and leaks in three rooms was not really acceptable.

The house is very much a family holiday house. It is located in a beautiful part of County Kerry. It was well equipped. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Considerate and thoughtful. I sent a feedback form to Rural Retreats. Suggestions: improve lighting in the bathrooms. It could be brighter. Make up mirrors? For the kitchen, add a grill pan with a rack, apron, kitchen knives for chopping onions, etc., kitchen scissors. Although there were only two of us, as the cottage is for eight people, there should be more than one hair dryer.
