Blue Flag beaches at Dungarvan or Youghal are within easy reach, or why not visit the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle? A lovely Ireland cottage for a memorable break. The lively town of Lismore is four miles from Cappoquin and it has a 17th Century hilltop Cathedral as well as an impressive castle with magnificent Jacobean gardens. The town has a variety of attractions from live pub music to arts and crafts and numerous places to eat, many of them highly recommended. There is a golf course close to the town and an equestrian centre for those who enjoy riding. Walkers are well catered for, with coastal paths on the coastline from Dungarvan to Youghall and there are bays, beaches and cliff tops to explore along the way. The city of Waterford is famous for its beautiful crystal, and it has a wide variety of shops and eateries on the quays and back streets. This is a superb base for a holiday.
