Home to a local shop, Post Office and pub, Banteer is a wonderful base for touring the counties of Cork and Kerry with plenty of attractions within easy reach. Spend a hazy day fishing on the River Blackwater, walk or cycle throughout the Blackwater Valley, have a day out at Mallow Racecourse or discover the beauty of the Killarney National Park. Close by are the towns of Millstreet, which has an equestrian centre and country park, and Kanturk, where you will find an 18 hole golf course and a shopping centre. Why not spend a day on Ireland’s south coast in the popular marina town of Kinsale, home to superb cuisine, unique shops and galleries? Or peel back the layers of time at the Killavullen Caves, which dates back to the ice age!
