With a large garden and comfortable furniture, step outside this delightful cottage with a well-earned bottle of wine and enjoy the warm summer sun. The village of Ballylickey is just a short drive away and will tend to your basic needs, with the fantastic town of Bantry nearby too. Bantry has a fantastic atmosphere and is a must visit. It has a shop and a range of pubs and restaurants to visit, and some live Irish music as well. Visit the golf club and work on your swing, or hop in the car and discover the Priests Leap or the world famous Wild Atlantic Way, both home to some truly spectacular scenery. A fantastic house and a perfect base for discovering the wonders in this part of Ireland.
Ballylickey is situated between Bantry Town and Glengarriff at the heart of the magnificent Bantry Bay, which has become known throughout the world for its stunning scenery and unspoilt environment. South west of Ballylickey is the beautiful Sheep's Head and "Goats Path" while just five minutes away, to the north-west is the magnificent Beara Peninsula, with its ruggedness, mystery and the Hungry Hill. For walkers, Ballylickey offers a base for some of the finest walking country in Ireland including the rugged Caha or Sheehy mountain ranges.

It's only a short drive from Bantry which has a lot of pubs and restaurants, as well as a Lidl. The accommodation included wifi which was fast and reliable, allowing us to plan activities during our stay. The area around was very scenic, there was a walking route around the area too. The local taxi's were very friendly and knew the location for ease of pick up from the house. It's a lovely place and I would recommend staying again.

Amazing location that makes you feel you are in the middle of nowhere but actually only 5 minutes away from everything you need. The cottage is spacious, well equipped with essentials and clean - highly recommend.

There are great walks nearby to the house. The house was very comfortable, clean, and cosy and the standard of the house was much better than we had anticipated. Would highly recommend as a great base for exploring this part of Cork.
