The Getaway is a charming detached cottage, situated behind the owners home on the outskirts of Miltown Malbay. Cosy and welcoming, this is an ideal spot to enjoy a relaxing break and really get away from it all in this beautiful part of West Ireland. Decorated and furnished to a good standard, with two comfortable bedrooms and an open plan living, dining and kitchen area, this cottage is fantastic for gathering together at the end of the day with a home-cooked meal to discuss what you enjoyed most about your trip so far. This property perfectly suited 2-3 adults or 2 adults with children. Stroll into the town to find an array of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Meet the locals and enjoy an Irish craft beer or whiskey paired with some good wholesome food and a live traditional music session. Miltown Malbay is close to some excellent beaches, including Lahinch and Doonbeg, all of which are well worth a visit. The Blue Flag sandy beach at Spanish Point is only a short drive away. The Getaway is a great base for those who like an activity based holiday with surfing, kayaking, cycling and walking all available locally, there is so much to see and do, youll be spoilt for choice! For those who enjoy teeing off for a leisurely 18 holes while you are on holiday, the world-renowned Trump International and Lahinch Golf Links are close by. Within easy distance are the Cliffs of Moher, Burren National Park and the Loop Head Peninsula. There is something for everyone to enjoy along the stunning County Clare coastline. Come and travel the Wild Atlantic Way and explore this wonderful part of the Emerald Isle.
The pretty town of Miltown Malbay is located close to the Atlantic coast in County Clare, and is only an hour from Shannon Airport. Famed for its traditional Irish music, it is home to the Willie Clancy music festival, which is held in July, however visitors will find fabulous live music in many pubs and bars whatever the time of year. Miltown Malbay is close to some excellent beach resorts, including Lahinch, Spanish Point and Doonbeg, all of which are well worth a visit for their relaxed vibe and great surf, not to mention their excellent golf courses.
