Just a short drive away is the village of Ballinskelligs, which is famed for its stunning views and coastal scenery. Home to a local shop, pub and Post Office, this quiet village is the perfect destination to enjoy the Ring of Kerry and all that is has to offer. There are plenty of attractions and activities within easy reach, including boat trips to the historic Skellig Michael, the Kerry Dark Sky Night Reserve, a Blue Flag beach and the famous Castle on the beach, the McCarthy Mor Tower, together with the 12th century abbey. A truly special place for all the family to enjoy.

Located on the magnificent Skellig Ring between Waterville and Valentia Island, on the forthcoming Wild Atlantic Way, with wild rugged coastlines, scattered islands, vast mountains and high passes, the seaside area of Ballinskelligs sits on the attractive Ballinskelligs Bay and is an Irish-speaking area with a unique history and culture. Once the land base for the monks of Skellig Michael, the surrounding area has numerous prehistoric and early Christian ruins along its shores.

It's quite old. Some furniture are old but still ok. The location is perfect, the view beautiful. The beds are very confortable. The informations are accurate.

A littl bit old & tired, but beautifully situated & ideal for tuorithe Ring kf Kerry & surrounding areas. Could do with a couple saucepans &, more importantly, in this modern day & age WiFi. Being from outside Ireland, roaming charges & mobile data cost are high & even using emails & WhatsApp were cost. The hot water & central heating, excellent. Open fires? Being of an age, when as children, our task, every morning, before school, to clean out & re lay the fire, not interested. May be the younger generation would find them a novelty! Missing one trick, should mention the mobility aids in the bathroom. I have some mobility problems & the hand rails by toilet & shower + drop down support by toilet were a boon. Over all, okay would stay there again

Property will need an upgrade in the near future but nothing major. It’s well kept and Mary the lady who looks after the handover couldn’t have been more helpful. I would go back again!!!
