    About this property

    Kilmihil 2.5 miles.
This modern, detached house is situated in an isolated, rural location, 2.5 miles from the village of Kilmihil, and just 10 miles from the lively town of Ennis, in beautiful County Clare. Situated entirely on the ground floor, this Kilmihil cottage is great for those with limited mobility, and also those travelling with children, so the whole family can enjoy a cottage holiday in Ireland. Guests can enjoy rural views from the sitting room of this Kilmihil cottage, making the most of the location, whatever the weather, so in the summer you can enjoy long walks from the doorstep across County Clare countryside, and on colder days, light the open fire, put a film on, and curl up for a cosy day in. Close by, Doonbeg Golf Course is great for a round in the sun, while the old town of Ennis provides wonderful shopping and dining opportunities, and with Kilrush within easy travelling distance, and the rest of Ireland just waiting to be discovered, this Kilmihil cottage has something for everybody.

Renowned for its Holy Shrine, Kilmihil is a pretty West Clare village which makes an attractive quiet base for enjoying the attractions of County Clare. Kilkee has a sandy beach with great surfing, and a popular leisure centre, and for breathtaking scenery and wonderful wildlife take a trip to the Cliffs of Moher. There is easy access to County Kerry via ferry from Killimer, doubling the opportunities for enjoyable days out during your Irish vacation.

"Outdoor table and chairs to capture the evening sun."

" Very we’ll equipped with everything you need and spotlessly clean. You have to get a top up to use WiFi but not complaining as heating and electricity is included in rental price. Mary and John are very nice, friendly people. Shop and pub are around 2.5 miles away so a car is essential. "

"It is a large cottage with plenty of room to spread out in and with a comfortable sitting room to relax in. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and the dining room table has a great view over the valley. The lane is OK for dog walking and there are great walks in Liscasey a short drive away (a flat park immediately beside the lane / accessed from the N road and great rural paths behind the church). A twenty minute drive will take you to Doughmore beach and The Burren is a little further ..."

" John and Mary are great hosts, making sure we had everything we needed (e.g., cot & high chair), but also giving us space to enjoy our holiday. "

"It is very rural yet convenient for local shops/takeaways/pubs. It is also very central for attractions on the coast, inland and along the Shannon estuary. The owners took a 'hands off' approach and we didn't meet them but their contact details were clearly displayed and we could easily have got in touch if we needed to. All in all, an excellent holiday."

"My husband and I traveled to Ireland with our 3 kids, aged 4, 1 & 6 months and my mother in law. The house was quiet, off the beaten path and had every amentity that we needed. 2.5 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, living room with fireplace and full kitchen. The washer and dryer were very convenient to have as well. The owners are close by and they were very warm and welcoming. They were also very helpful when we had any questions. Anywhere we wanted to go was a quick 45-60 min trip...Cliffs of Moher, Aran Islands, Galway, Bunratty Castle, Limerick & King Johns Castle, etc. And definitely check out the Lissycasey Cascades. It's a shirt easy hike with amazing views. We will absolutely stay here again next trip."

    Miss Mbondiya,
"The House was very clean. All cutlery and the kitchen was well stocked with all necessary equipment. It was warm and the laundry room was very useful. The position of the house was very good central to all points of interest. We loved staying at Frure House and our kids loved the house as well."

"I stayed here with my husband and three children aged 10, 15 and 17. If it is a quiet authentic rural setting you are after then this is definitely the place you will want to be. The view from the dining room table looking out over the green fields past an old crumbling stone cotttage/shed, was the best therapy every morning. We were lucky enough to have fine weather for most of our stay, but the evenings were cool and we enjoyed building a lovely fire in the open fireplace in the living room, using the traditional turf and coal. The oil heating radiators also ensured that our home was always cosy. The house was immaculately clean when we arrived and stocked with every utensil, linen etc that you could possibly need. The washing machine and clothes dryer also made life so much easier. It was a short drive to the closest foodstore or pub for a great meal and drink. We will not hesitate to rebook here on our next holiday, thanks Frure house , we can't wait to come back !!"
