A fantastic detached cottage on the outskirts of the popular coastal town of Kilkee in County Clare. A lovely property for friends and family looking for a break away together to explore the west coast of Ireland. The property boasts four comfy bedrooms, two of which have four poster beds. You also have a sitting room complete with a solid fuel stove perfect for relaxing in front of while you warm your toes and watch a good movie on the telly after a long day of being out and about. The ground floor then extends back to a kitchen/dining area where you can rustle up a tasty meal or with the sun out, why not step out to the back garden and enjoy your meal sitting on the patio as the young ones run around the garden safe from the road? Kilkee has a range of shops, pubs and restaurants for you to sample where you can be sure to experience the local culture and listen to some good Irish music. Explore the surrounding area and visit the likes of Kilrush and Doonbeg, home to the Trump International Golf Links. Drive along the world famous Wild Atlantic Way and stop in at one of the routes many highlights, the stunning Cliffs of Moher which are a must see when in the area. An excellent home from home and a perfect base for you to start your Irish adventure.
Kilkee is a charming seaside town on the western coast of County Clare overlooking the mile-long horseshoe bay, with a gently sloping safe and sandy Blue Flag beach that is protected from the Atlantic weather by the Duggerna Reef, which stretches across the mouth of the bay. Kilkee has a well deserved reputation as the safest bathing place in Ireland with bathing and swimming enjoyed at all stages of the tide.

It was very clean and had all the facilities we needed. It was a 10 minute walk to the centre of Kilkee. The owner, John, was very welcoming.

Your double beds are very uncomfortable, I ended up putting a single mattress on the floor so I could get some sleep, I didn't see any games although I wasn't wanting any for the supposed games room, there was no iron even though you have an ironing board, the kitchen utensils are extremely basic, even though you don't say you have internet almost everywhere does these days so it was a bit of a shock these are all negative feedback points, personally, none of this ruined our holiday or mattered a great deal to us, I'm just pointing it out, I can only assume other families would expect more, eg, buckets and spades, basic fishing stuff, a sharp knife, a scissors, some fuel in the starter pack, not just firelighters, and possibly make it very clear there is no internet available, but there is excellent 4g coverage would we use you again yes absolutely no problem we are in our 50's and older so don't care about any of these things I just am pointing out it would probably be what most families would expect from a holiday let by the sea Thank you very much we had a lovely time Regards Dave
