Suited for five to six people, Breen's Cottage No 2 is situated all one level, a homely place to commence your holiday, amidst a glimpse of tradition which continues room to room. Two steps take you into the lounge, where you will discover a three seater sofa and two armchairs, along with a woodburning stove to promote a cosy night in. With a dining table located at the side of the room, this is a delightful base to gather with your loved ones after an adventure or memorable outing. Three bedrooms are beautifully presented, complete with wardrobes, lovely linen, and there is even a wash basin in two of the rooms. Enjoy a wonderful night's sleep, then wake up to the lovely interior all over again, the perfect time to prepare a delicious breakfast in the kitchen, or a warm drink using your very own coffee maker. Getting ready will never be easier, with a walk-in shower room included, finalising the cottage to a heart-warming standard. In the area, Doughmore Strand and Spanish Point are renowned for quality surfing, while the towns of Kilrush and Carrigaholt offer boat trips, a fantastic opportunity for dolphin watching. With boat charter, the West Clare Railway, the International Jazz Festival over Whit weekend and Willie Keane Memorial, which offers traditional Irish music, song and dance, you will find plenty of ways to spend your holiday. The village of Doonbeg (meaning small fort) in County Clare grew up around the remains of Doonbeg Castle, which was built in the 16th century. The village and surrounding area offer a good variety of pubs (many providing traditional Irish music), while for golf enthusiasts, Greg Norman's course at Doughmore, the Doonbeg Golf Club Course, is open for some of the finest golf in the world. Local walks highlight the area's natural beauty, or try exploring the white sand beaches from horseback. Doughmore Strand and Spanish Point are renowned for quality surfing, while the towns of Kilrush and Carrigaholt offer boat trips for dolphin watching. With fishing, deep sea angling, boat charter, the West Clare Railway, the International Jazz Festival over Whit weekend and Willie Keane Memorial, which takes place during the weekend of the October bank holiday and offers traditional Irish music, song and dance, you will find plenty of ways to spend your holiday in this beautiful part of Ireland.
