The Sanctuary is a delightful and quirky cottage, converted from what was once an old church building. Guests will be charmed by the tasteful décor, stylish interior and comfortable bedrooms, and with lively Windermere on the doorstep, this is a superb base for a Lake District holiday.

The sitting room is beautifully furnished with leather sofas, TV/DVD and doors leading onto the sunny patio. Whether chatting over drinks, watching a favourite film or just relaxing after a busy day, this area offers plenty of room for everyone to stretch out in comfort. A stylish breakfast bar separates the smart kitchen from the dining area, and a downstairs cloakroom is a handy addition to the ground floor living accommodation.

Stairs lead up to the first floor and two equally lovely bedrooms. Comfortable beds tempt lazy lie-ins, and a shared bathroom comes with walk-in shower, basin and wc. Each bedroom has been lovingly coordinated and comes with plenty of storage space. Outside the property are two private parking spaces.

Windermere village is a popular destination for visitors; brim full of restaurants, interesting shops, and cosy pubs. Foodies will love Booths supermarket and cooks will adore the flagship Lakeland store nearby. The village of Bowness and the shores of Lake Windermere are just down the road, with cruises, rowing boats and a whole of water based activities on offer. And of course there is the wonderful Lake District countryside to admire and explore.
