Beautiful rural setting yet close to a lovely village on the river suir. Steeped in history and lovely walks . The property is spacious , light and very comfortable . Very welcoming host . Tranquility on steroids !!

Issues with heating, the cottage was very cold, fridge was leaking due to the freezer section not being closed correctly, having to get rid of the ice and clean up water. No heat in bathroom sadly. Overall it was clean and very much felt like going back in time in a time capsule.

Even if the facilities are not all perfect, the surrounding is amazing. We had wild rabbits in and Robins in the morning, as well as a cock, which woke us and a cuddling horse behind the houses. Nearly every interesting destination can be reached within an hour, e.g. Lough Derg, Leap Castle, Kilkenny, Waterford, Cobh and the Vee Pass (15 min distance) between Tipperary and Waterford is worth a visit. So it's great for a couple or a single person, to start the discovery of south and middle Ireland.
