All open plan and compact, this apartment is perfect for couples seeking a quiet rural, romantic retreat in a beautiful part of Ireland while still having the conveniences of the city nearby. Beneath its sloped ceilings, this cosy holiday home consists of a kitchen with a dining area and a sitting area with a solid fuel stove which then extends towards, the en-suite bedroom area with its own Juliet balcony. To the front of the building is a shared lawned area with furniture, where you can relax with a refreshing drink as you plan the next days adventures. Nicholas Mosse Pottery is very close by where you can pick up a souvenir of your holiday, plus there are a couple of equestrian centres nearby. Just a quick jaunt up the road is the city of Kilkenny, where everyone will find something to enjoy. Shopping, nightlife, pub restaurants, culture and festivals, including the famous Cat Comedy Festival are all here for you to enjoy. Why not go for a summer stroll alongside the River Nore, or explore the castle and the cathedral? The area also offers Woodstock Estate Gardens and the likes of fishing and watersports. Further afield there is Waterford and the Hook Head Peninsula or why not take a day trip to Dublin? This delightful little apartment is ideal for exploring this beautiful part of Ireland.
The lively city of Kilkenny is the county town of County Kilkenny and is a centre for arts, crafts and design, boasting good shopping and a vibrant nightlife with many pubs, bars and restaurants. Bedding was comfortable clean and warm. Kitchen was greasy with longstanding cobwebs and dead spiders. There was a moldy cup in cupboard along with old food. A cupboard had to be thoroughly cleaned before we could put food in it etc. Bin was too small and lid broken and disgusting when liner removed. Microwave, toaster and kettle needed cleaning. All cutlery and pots had to be washed. There was only one teaspoon and two folks. Two bottles of medication left in a cupboard. Whole accommodation had to be dusted and tablecloth wiped clean. Bathroom had dust and hairs around the base of the sink and toilet. The initial cleaning took well over an hour to basic clean. All in all a lack of attention to detail, cleanliness and poor maintenance for a holiday let. It was such a shame as it was an ideal location for visiting our family who lived locally.

It was warm and cosy. Anne left the keys for pick up and was more than willing to help with anything if needed. Only one negative and thatâs the dog Pooh in the area just outside.
