Snaptrip says

Garden House is a well-loved cottage praised for its peaceful setting, stunning views, and wildlife. Guests appreciate the tasteful decoration, cleanliness, and the warm welcome from the hosts. While some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvements are noted, the overall experience is one of tranquillity and comfort, making it a highly recommended retreat in the countryside.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be spotlessly clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable and inviting stay. However, a few guests mentioned minor cleanliness issues, such as cat hairs and mould around the kitchen sink, which slightly impacted the overall high standards observed.

The location is consistently praised for its beauty, tranquillity, and proximity to local attractions. The secluded yet not isolated setting with lovely views and abundant wildlife offers guests a perfect base for exploring the Peak District or enjoying a retreat from the world.

Guests find the cottage to be very comfortable, particularly highlighting the quality of the bedding and the peaceful environment conducive to rest. Some guests noted the bedroom space was tight, especially around the bed, and suggested removing unnecessary furniture to improve access.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the cottage being well-equipped for a pleasant stay. However, guests have pointed out issues such as TV signal problems, stiff door locks, and the absence of a hairdryer. These minor faults suggest room for improvement in the maintenance of facilities.

While guests have mentioned the hosts' friendliness and the provision of local information, there is no consistent reference to gifts or welcome hampers in the reviews. Therefore, it is not possible to accurately assess the thoughtfulness in terms of gifts, and the score is set to null.

Need to improve the approach "road"/track though, the pot holes are vicious. Local amenities are spotty - need to pre book most places for food and it is expensive.
