About this property

Tully 2 miles. This delightful detached cottage is situated on the wonderful Renvyle Peninsula some two miles past the village of Tully where the sea wall breaks the spring tides. Standing on an elevated site, this cosy County Galway cottage has been lovingly decorated and furnished to provide comfort and quality throughout your holiday. Boasting three well-presented bedrooms, this is an ideal retreat for families or groups of friends looking to explore the great outdoors. Guests can enjoy the well-fitted kitchen or relax with a glass of wine in the comfortable sitting room with open fire and gaze out across the ocean. Outside the cottage, the wonders of Connemara beckon. Take the short trip to Renvyle beach where sea and sky meet, or alternatively hop in the car and drive to Leenane and Killery Harbour where the Atlantic Ocean has carved a majestic fiord inland for several miles between the mountains. You must not leave this area without visiting Kylemore Abbey, with its Victorian walled gardens and enchanted lake. A short drive will take you to Cleggan with its pier, where you can take the daily ferry to Inishbofin Island to experience the tradition and culture of island life. Visit Connemara National Park with its many treks and trails on your doorstep. Enjoy the town of Clifden, a short distance away, an oasis in the west, with its many pubs, cafes and restaurants. Seaspray is truly on the Wild Atlantic Way and is a wonderful base to see Mother Nature at her best.

The seaside village of Tully is situated on the Renvyle Peninsula in County Galway. The owner, Maureen, is lovely, she popped by to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed but didn’t overstep and gave us plenty of privacy also. The cottage itself is very charming, with the weather being mixed and still quite cool we lit the fire every night which was lovely. The beds are very comfy with the welcome addition of electric blankets which made them very cosy to climb into! I can’t stress enough how beautiful the sea view is from the master bedroom and lounge / dining area, a lovely change when you live in a city. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook anything you might want and we enjoyed several home cooked meals. We hope to return again in the future!

Stunning views and short drive to most of western Ireland. The cottage was cozy. It was hard to keep a fire going, the chimney didn't have great airflow. The kitchen was a little dated, but we only used it for breakfast so it wasn't a big deal. If you like to sleep with the windows open, be ready for a calico visitor around midnight. She's very sweet and will make herself at home on the bed with you. Overall, we very much enjoyed our time at Sea Spray Cottage and we would return.

Maureen was very friendly and available if there were any problems (there was one small problem regarding accessing the TV channels which she solved straight away and with no fuss)." There is a shop and garage close by in the next village. There are also some good pubs locally (a ten minute drive) and ‘Teach Ceoil’ (a music expo of local trad musicians) runs every Tuesday during July and August and should not be missed. It showcases some of the most talented musicians in the country. The house has got everything you need for a good holiday as well as its incredible location!
