Culfadda is set amidst rolling countryside with lovely views across neighbouring hills. The nearby caves at Keash are well worth a visit and offer panoramic views across the adjoining landscape. The town of Ballymote is a short distance away and will provide all necessary provisions for your stay. Take a day trip to the bustling town of Sligo, on The Wild Atlantic Way, home to world renowned poet, W.B. Yeats, with many activities and amenities on your doorstep, such as seaweed baths, golden sands, surfing, boat trips on Lough Gill, art galleries and much more. Visit Forest Park Activity Centre at Lough Key, Boyle with its beautiful woodland setting, lakeshore marina, treks and trails and coffee shop. The town of Ballymote offers shops, pubs and restaurants, a park and railway station. The county town of Sligo is within driving distance and is well worth a visit. Sligo boasts historic monuments and buildings and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants. County Sligo has beaches, golf and fishing to be enjoyed in your downtime. The village is also home to the Ballymote Castle, which dates from 1300.

They only supply 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel per person for 7 days. We asked for more and got an extra bath towel each but no extra hand towels. The house is situated in a beautiful peaceful area. It's very clean and beds are really comfortable. 15 minutes drive to Ballymote where there are a few pubs. Try The Dapper Duck in Gorteen for great food and they're open every day.

Working at the sink and kitchen worktop is very difficult due to poor light. One simple alteration would make a huge improvement i.e. fit a bright LED-type strip light over the sink and worktop. We had to often let the external door open to allow more light in. A few egg cups would be useful. The beds were extremely comfortable. A TV that can receive local terrestrial stations would be nice.

This was our second time there. It was very clear to us that the owners spent a lot of money recently, new floors, new internal doors, better internet, better tv, newly decorated very nicely. It is out in the middle of nowhere, however that's why we love it. Piece and quiet. A retreat to recharge. We are definitely going back. It's definitely going to be booked by ourselves again.
