Boasting four well-presented bedrooms, one with en-suite, guests will feel relaxed and refreshed in the comfortable surroundings. Enjoy a meal in the fully fitted kitchen with dining area and relax in the cosy sitting room with open fire and plan the following day’s endeavours. Outside the cottage is a lawned area to front and rear where you can sit and relax with a refreshing drink. Visitors have been flocking to the village of Knock for centuries to experience the tranquillity and healing powers of its famous Shrine. Nestling just off the main Sligo/Galway route, and an easy 15 mile journey from Knock International Airport, this village will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. Visit the many local pubs and restaurants and explore the many historic sites in the area. Why not take a day trip to the bustling town of Castlebar and onto Westport, an oasis on The Wild Atlantic Way? Lose yourself in the many arts and crafts shops there and relax in wonderful pubs and coffee shops. Admire the majestic Croagh Patrick Mountain standing proud overlooking Clew Bay or travel north to Co Sligo, the land of hearts desire, with its wonderful scenery and coastline. Motor the short distance to the village of Foxford, straddling the mighty River Moy, famed for its angling, where you can visit the wonderful woollen mills and adjoining craft shop and restaurant. This delightful cottage is a cosy retreat, perfect for exploring the many wonders of the surrounding countryside.

The quaint village of Knock is home to one of Europe’s most famous religious landmarks. The impressive Knock Shrine was apparently the location of an apparition in 1879. The site has such importance that John Paul II visited Knock Shrine himself to commemorate the centenary of the vision. The village now attracts over one million visitors a year and is just a short distance from Knock Airport.
