About this property

… tucked away in Charlestown, approached over 100 yards of private hardcore lane, an attractive single-storey detached cottage recently converted from an old barn. At the back, a meadow adjacent to a playing field (setting for the village regatta from 25 to 31 July); in front, gravelled access to the cottage and to the friendly owners’ house; to one side, a neat paved, sunny garden area (table/chairs).

From garden, double doors into open-plan living/dining/kitchen (dishwashermicrowave, gas hob/electric oven) with TV/DVD and iPod dock. Two bedrooms, both with big floor-to-ceiling windows between original granite pillars – a double (5’ bed) with en suite shower-room (suite), and a twin (truckle). Bathroom (suite, shower over bath). External utility room (washing machine). A comfy base within walking distance of three pubs, restaurants and the beach and within easy reach of good golf and beautiful gardens to visit.

"We loved this cottage! The owners who were friendly and helpful without intruding have thought of everything to make it a home from home and all to such a high standard. Location is also great for a nice relaxing holiday within easy reach of so many amenities and places of interest."

  • Mrs G Chown

"Fantastic, well appointed cottage with all the amenities you need. Lovely location and friendly owners. Would definitely recommend this as a great base for exploring the south coast, and even some parts of the north coast (we visited Newquay easily for the day)."
